Reflection based upon observing my guide teacher’s experience

First of all, I can say that my teacher is Gerardo Gonzalez, who has been in class with the students since last year in the case of second grade. Therefore he supposed to know the weaknesses and strength of them. He planned the classes ahead of time, because he always had his classes prepared, which is important, because he had clear what the content is, he knows what the achievements are, in other words he knows where the bus goes. When it comes to rapport with the students, he is close with students, I must say that he keep in touch with some of the male students, because he gives a hand in the football team, so students asked him all the time, and he explained how they went in the championship. He gets on well with all the students. Sometimes he picks up on students who are lazy, irrespectufull. Even though he make jokes in classes, students laugh a lot . Students don’t seem to be upset with him. They accepted each other without taking into account the fact that Gerardo is impolite. So teacher Gerardo likes pulling the student’s leg, students accepted.

Another thing is that guide teacher always monitors the students. It must be like that because students are difficult to deal with, to drive to do their task, activities, so on. For instant the role of Mister Gonzalez is to be controller he manipulates the students. But in general they get on well with. Therefore there should not be problems to have good relationships with respect and values.

Mister Gonzalez always motivates students with rewards, which is a good technique, but it doesn’t work all the time. Sometimes students are demotivated. He is not of the teachers who said excellent or magnificent. He always said that if they finish they could leave early form the classroom, if they behave he would do this or that.

When it comes to proximity, he embrace his students or give them a hug, I was astonished the first time I saw them. Even though he hit with his leg the students as a game, students accepted they do not get violent or aggressive.

I must say that teacher Gerardo use a lot body language, gestures, posture. He moves his body to represent an action, point out with his fingers to show off certain action or vocabulary. For example when he said about the phone he used his hands or picked up his phone and start acting a conversation.

I consider what one of the things I do not have he has is about the tone of voice. He speaks really louder. I could say every student get the explanation, instruction, opinion. This is a really positive strength. He can control his class when he screams. He shouts out to the students, because they misbehave a lot.
