Interior designer with roots in Girona and experience overseas. Interested in passive architecture, the Feng Shui philosophy and local products. Enthusiastic with my job which I consider vocational, perfectionist, with adaptability skills, always keen to start new challenges and specially to be part of a great work team.
You will also find me on Instagram as @alcove_dsign. An “Alcove” is a recessed space that offers warm, well-being and protection. It’s clearly difficult to describe my projects with just one word, but I like to think that when we design, we improve people’s life in some way, so the designers have the responsability and the power to make them feel like this.

Personal Project
This is a personal project that I’ve just recently finished with my 3D artist and friend Dani Gallego. Even though I was working as a professional Interior Designer and also living overseas when we were doing this collaborative project, I’m always thinking about imaginary spaces that let me express all my creativity and passion for the iconic furniture. So, basically this is a joyful project about a private residence retirement home in which I’ve carried out the interior distribution, the selection of the iconic furniture and lighting pieces, the bespoke furniture design and art direction. It has been a pleasure to share this journey with Dani!

Rumpus Coloured Floor plan + Concept Documentation (Cad + Photoshop)
During my role as Design Assitant at Simone Haag, I did the project documentation and the design concept development of the projects, among other aspects.
The Nareeb project is an example: the coloured floor plans and sections plans of the nook corridor and the rumpus of this property, a new residential construction located in Toorak (Melbourne).
In this project, I’ve explored design options for boths spaces through the inspiration ideas suggested by the SH team or by myself. All this concept development has been documented and visualized in different resources. Also, having a direct contact with suppliers in order to make sure that all the furniture, lighting and objects selected are available in the market.

3. A bathroom remodel
In this project, I’ve carried out: plans, renders, material proposal and the bespoke “L” shape bathroom countertop design and construction. I was the one who supervised the assembly process with the industrials due to get the final result.
During my role as an Interior Designer at Arquitect&Deco , the CEO and I worked hand in hand due to remodel this bathroom in Barcelona. The client asked to keep the actual cabinet in the sink area, so not only we had to improve the functionality of this space, also we had to make sure that all the new elements of the design (shower screen, the new sink, drain, toilet, etc.) fit in the old furniture at the same time we were offering a contemporary aesthetic.
Trimmed shower screen due to fit in the “L” countertop.

4. Fem Guillem, som Guillem
L’Escola Guillem de Montgrí (Catalonia, Spain) asked me to design a solution for the corridor spaces of their building, because the railing wasn’t tall enough and the older children could be in danger when they look through it. Also, they wanted something easy to add in the original railing (with no demolition or construction process), fast to build and cheap to buy.
So... Here it is: We created this wooden frames with waved textile walls in order to increase the height of the railing but without loosing the panoramic view of the whole corridor. Also, as the textiles are fixed with Velcro, they can always be washed, changed or removed for another material. Last but no least, the school works on projects around the ecology, so I thought that some interior plants would help to empower this value and feel this space more cozy!
In this project I’ve carried out since the design of the bespoke furniture to the managment of the construction process. Taking care of each detail, providing 2D and 3D resources, placing orders of the materials, direct contact with the installers and the final client.

5. Habitar Jugant Academic Project
Starting this investigation from the quote “The game is the reflection of a society construction process” from Benjamin W., my finally degree project is a research of how can the game be adapted with all its implications in the creation of physical spaces, in a specific and contemporary context. In other words, the game as a methodology of space design.
concept development mock ups
During the lockdown period lived this 2020 year in order to fight COVID-19 virus, we go into people’s homes to analyze how they habit 24 hours a day under the same roof and within the same walls. But above all, we are interested in seeing how people interact in this space and everything around it in order to find physical and emotional well-being. This research will aim to show and broke the standardized domestic space from the furniture perspective, in order to claim and empower the different ways to habit through a reprogrammable and active objects design that its main objective is to go with people in the course of their lives. But above all, make them feel “like home”.
In this project, I’ve carried out all its stages, since the investigation to the construction of the final result, with the advises from my project mentor, carpenters, family and friends.
After the final exhibitions, BAU - University Centre of Design of Barcelona, selected some of the outstanding Final Degree Projects in each design mention and gave us a recognition for it.

During my internship at Pichiglas Studio, I learnt and developed the documentation needed for the construction process of the projects, among other aspects.
This is an example: the plans for Portitxol, a restaurant with a dinning area, a tapas bar and a rooftop for cocktails and drinks.
In this project, I’ve carried out the executive plans for this remodeling, being a team member of the Interior Design department in the studio.
