D’un parti pris moderne, ce vin au nez de cerises burlat mêlées à des odeurs de cigare, impressionne par sa densité. Flatteuse et massive, la bouche s’allonge, portée par des arômes de griottes, et de fruit noir. La finale onctueuse complète ce vin construit sur le modèle des plus grands.
Le nez de ce 2011 évoque plus sûrement le soleil du printemps et l’été indien du mois de septembre que les passages nuageux du mois d’août. La maturité est parfaite, elle s’exprime dans ses côtés les plus gracieux, fruit des bois, sureau. Les tanins ciselés, se déploient accompagnés de notes de myrtilles, d’oranges sanguines et de zeste. La finale salivante est la signature du plateau calcaire dans les beaux millésimes.
Le premier nez évoque le marché aux fleurs : les fleurs blanches se mêlent aux notes de thym. La bouche franche, gracieuse, apporte de douces notes de violette. Une finale racée ravive des arômes subtils de cerise noire.
Ce vin porte en lui les expressions extrêmes des très vieilles vignes profondément enracinées qui le composent. A la fois ouvert et sur une forme de réserve, les premiers arômes exprimés sont aériens, fleurs et fruits blancs, puis progressivement se déploient des senteurs plus terriennes de ronce, d’éclats de calcaire, de bois de rose. Religieusement silencieuse, sa trame ciselée profondément minérale nécessitera patience et appréhension pour découvrir toute sa complexité.
La robe opaque annonce les notes de fruits noirs qui vous envahissent dès les premiers instants. Premier nez vite éclipsé par de subtiles nuances de cèdre et d’olive noire. La bouche massive impressionne par sa corpulence. Puissants, présents mais frais, les tanins fondus dans la masse révèlent le caractère exceptionnel de ce micro-terroir de Saint-Emilion. La finale surprend encore par sa délicatesse.
Voici le réveil de ce joli cru de pomerol. Ce vin exprime la noblesse et la solarité de son terroir, à travers des parfums de violette, de zan et de fruits noirs. Soyeux, enrobé et généreux, sa trame se décline sur une tendre finale.
Leaning towards a more modern style, this wine has a nose of Burlat cherries with hints of cigar and shows impressive concentration. Both charming and massive. The nose of this 2011 is undoubtedly more reminiscent of the sunny spring and Indian summer than overcast skies in August... It reflects perfect ripeness and shows a gracious side with overtones of forest fruit and elderberry. The polished tannin is accompanied by flavours of blueberry, blood orange and citrus zest.
