Vivienda situada en “Villa Carrega”, en un edificio construido en 1912 por el ingeniero Giovanni Battista Milani como alojamiento del Principe Carrega en la ciudad de Roma.

Sobre el valle del Tevere, el edificio abre una de sus fachadas al Vaticano. Su emplazamiento, en la parte alta de Roma, le permite divisar parte de la capital de Italia.

En 1955 la Villa es ampliada para hospedar a “La Congregazione delle Ancelle del Sacro Cuore di Gesú”, una comunidad de religiosas que convirtieron la sala de baile del antiguo palacio, en “La cappella delle Ancelle Del Sacro Cuore”.

El gran número de aperturas forjan una relación directa con el exterior, las cuales generan cuadros únicos de la ciudad en las estancias principales. Esta relación se potencia con la presencia de la terraza central, evadiendo a los clientes de la ciudad.

Hace seis años, el antiguo monasterio dejó de albergar un espacio religioso, para convertirse en uso residencial. 40 Class & VILLAS


House located in “Villa Carrega”, in a building built in 1912 by the engineer Giovanni Battista Milani as accommodation for Prince Carrega in the city of Rome.

Over the Tevere valley, the building opens one of its facades to the Vatican. Its location, in the upper part of Rome, allows to see part of the capital of Italy.

In 1955, the Villa was enlarged to host a “La Congregazione delle Ancelle del Sacro Cuore di Gesú”, a community of nuns that turned the dance hall of the old palace into “La cappella delle Ancelle del Sacro Cuore”.

The large number of openings forge a direct relationship with the exterior, the possible unique photographs of the city in the main rooms. This relation is enhanced by the presence of the central terrace, evading the customers of the city.

Esta piedra envuelve la vivienda en todos los espacios exteriores no solo como revestimiento, sino también materializando parte del mobiliario; las fuentes, las piscinas, la barbacoa y la chimenea. Se crea un contraste entre el acabado rústico característico

del travertino y la sensualidad y amabilidad del “calacatta” en el interior. Los materiales aplicados se muestran en estado natural, conviviendo y combinándose entre sí en las diferentes estancias. Calacatta, roble, vidrio espejado y latón se disponen de la forma adecuada obteniendo un resultado cálido y singular. La tonalidad acaramelada característica del calacatta gold, se potencia con la presencia del dorado, no solo aportada por el latón, sino también por la reflexión de los vidrios.


“The villa sul Palazzo” respects the image of the building, showing its surroundings with the native materiality; the Roman travertine, the “calacatta” and the brass. This stone allows housing in all outdoor spaces not only as a covering, but also materializing part of the furniture; the fountains, the pools, the barbecue and the fireplace. A contrast is created between the characteristic rustic finish of the travertine, and the sensuality and kindness of the “calacatta” inside.

The applied materials are shown in a natural state, coexisting and combining with each other in the different rooms. Calacatta, oak, mirrored glass and brass are arranged in a suitable form obtaining a warm and singular result. The caramelized tone characteristic of the calacatta gold, enhances with the presence of the golden color, not only contributed by the brass, but also by the reflection of the glasses.

Interiorismo ecléctico; el espacio contemporáneo generado con materiales presentes en la ciudad, convive en armonía con un mobiliario clásico. El valor de esta relación se consigue gracias a la disposición con carácter escultural, de estas piezas procedentes de anticuarios.

Eclectic interior design; the contemporary space generated with materials present in the city, copes in harmony with classic furniture. The value of this relation is achieved thanks to the sculptural disposition of these pieces, which come from antiquarians.

Las estancias principales vienen definidas por el mobiliario. Las grandes lámparas rectangulares de latón, diseñadas expresamente para esta casa, delimitan las distintas áreas desde el plano de techo.

The main rooms are defined by furniture. The large rectangular brass lamps, specifically for this house, delimit the different areas from the roof plane.

La arquitectura preexistente convive con nuevos programas. La columnata característica de la arquitectura neoclásica actualmente alberga una piscina climatizada, así como la torre, una zona de descanso y desconexión. El núcleo de comunicación vertical se diseña como un elemento escultórico. El ascensor trazado a medida se asemeja a un reloj que deja vista su maquinaria. La escalera se forma alrededor de éste, iluminando el conjunto mediante una luz indirecta desde los peldaños de vidrio. Siguiendo los cánones de la ciudad, “la villa” se completa con el sonido del agua y la presencia de la vegetación. Se diseñan dos fuentes dispuestas de forma simétrica, las cuales rematan el patio central con el fin de minimizar el murmullo urbano.

The pre-existing architecture coexists with new programs. The colonnade characteristic of neoclassical architecture, currently houses a heated pool, as well as the tower a rest and disconnection area. The centre of vertical communication is designed as a sculptural element. The custom-made elevator resembles a watch that lets your machinery see. The staircase is formed around it, illuminating the set by indirect light from the glass steps. Following the canons of the city, “la villa” is completed by the sound of water and the presence of vegetation. Two symmetrically arranged fountains are designed, which finish off the central patio in order to minimize the urban murmur.

TAX RETURN IN SPAIN When do I become tax resident?

Are there any tax deductions for living in Spain?

If you spend more than 183 days in Spain (including occasional trips out of the country) during any one calendar year makes you tax resident.

Yes, some of the main deductions are:

When is it due? From the 1st of April up to the 30th of June during the year following the relevant tax year. So in 2018 everyone will be filing their 2017 tax returns in April/May/June. If you have one source of income, not taxed at source, and you earn over 12.000 euros in pensions, you are obliged to file a tax return. There are 5 kinds of income: • Income from work (paid employment, pensions) • Investment income (interest, dividends) • Income from real estate (Rentals, Second homes) • Income from economic activities • Capital gains (lottery, gambling winnings, sales of assets such as homes, stocks, etc…) These revenues are divided into two sections with two different tax rates: 1. INCOME FROM SAVINGS: Part of this income, the investment income and capital gains that are evident at the time of transfer of assets 2. SAVINGS INCOME: From 19% 3. GENERAL INCOME: The rest that is not part of savings income goes from 19,5% as the tax scale shows below:

What is the minimum income to be liable for the Spanish Income tax? • Minimum exemption per taxpayer: 5.550€ • Older than 65 years: 6.700€ • Older than 75 years: 8.100€ In addition, employment income and pensions have a minimum exemption of 2.000€. There is further reduction of 3.700€ when the income is below 11.250€ and it progressively disappears until the income is above 14.450€ euros.
