Women's and Men's store

Jakarta Pacific Place is a 750m2 global store offering both Women's and Men's collections. Situated in the mall atrium, the store showcases an elongated curved façade that captures attention from both entrances of the mall. The curved façade, stretching 105 linear meters, is constructed using vertical metallic blades that form the iconic Louis Vuitton flower pattern. This design element produces a visually captivating effect.

Women's and Men's store

The store's interior design draws inspiration from Indonesian arts and crafts, showcasing elements like straw weaving or mother of pearl wallpapers. The use of cut-out wood patterns for sliding doors and pop up ceilings pays homage to the craftsmanship tradition while incorporating LV-inspired designs. All those natural materials create a soft and neutral atmosphere, enhanced by vibrant colors like orange and blue, as well as Indonesian artpieces and suar wood furnitures.

Men's store facade

This project is for a new global men's store spanning 220 square meters. The facade is an ode to the famous Arizonian landscape «the Wave» with wooden blades curved in the iconic Epi pattern, evocative of Louis Vuitton's signature leather pattern. As light hits the curves, a mesmerizing kinetic effect is created, enhanced by the stunning blue backwall. As the customer passes by, the 30-meter-long facade undergoes a transformation, offering an ever-changing visual experience.

The moodboards establish the tone for a comprehensive design concept for the rebranding of Hublot's stores. The salon-like atmosphere blends the timeless elegance of marble flooring with the comforting touch of sophisticated textiles. The fusion of Flou and a vintage aesthetic give birth to a physical and authentical atmosphere that embodies the universe of Hublot.

A CENTER FOR TEXTILE ARTS AND HERITAGE

Master project - Urban planning

The Museum of Textile Art in Lyon boasts the world's largest textile collection. However, it is located on a small parcel of land that restricts its visibility and popularity. My master project aimed at creating a more fitting exhibition space for the collection located on the docks of the Saône river, reconnecting said docks to the urban fabric through a series of facilities that bring together the textile industry's key players.

2020 ENSA PARIS VAL DE SEINE

Master project- Architectural project

The Saint-Antoine dock presents many advantages; it is located at the heart of Lyon's historical and cultural textile neighborhood and in close proximity to the headquarters of national textile players (UNITEX headquarters, weaving schools, Maison des Canuts). This two hundred acres plot facing the famous Fourvière hill is a prime location for the implementation of this urban, architectural, and museographic project. It is centered around a 30 meter-long volume that houses reserve works, circulation areas, and a temporary exhibition space.

This complex structural system has been designed to accommodate both a landscape project with athletic and educational facilities around the museum with its exhibition spaces of various caracteristics. The complex also offers training and conference spaces for textile industry professionals to gather. Three waterproof volumes are located at the bottom of the dock and serve as hubs for circulation. Long ramps, starting as urban exteriors, then becoming public -and finally private- interiors, are wrapped around the volumes and offer framed views of the Fourvière hill and the Presqu'île.

2020 ENSA PARIS VAL DE SEINE

Master project- Architectural project

The exhibition spaces weave around these «pillars» on a vast embossed slab that extends the upper quay, creating sheltered spaces for landscaping and sports facilities along the Saône's banks. The purpose of this facility is not only to host of the massive textile collection; it is also meant as a space that requalifies the dock and allows for an educational promenade along the Saône, offering new frames of the city.

2020 ENSA PARIS VAL DE SEINE

Master project- Museography

The exhibition rooms are small volumes with wooden structures and cladding allowing for control of light intake. These volumes are connected to each other, but it is possible to close some of them, should an event require it. Each exhibition space thus has a volume, lighting, and museography linked to the exhibited content.

TRADE YOUR WASTE

A social game

I had the opportunity to take Lorenzo Deslegues class «Anthropology and sociology of art and architecture» at Camondo school. Drawing on principles from economics and sociology, we explored «design services», i.e. design as a social tool, as a response to a problem. The project aims at inventing a game that creates social interaction. Following the same principle as «Settlers of Catan,» I imagined a game where players would exchange not raw materials, but waste with their neighbors in order to gather a large quantity of a single category of waste. This would make them easily recyclable while generating social interaction.

PLACE DENFERT-ROCHEREAU

Urban planning

The aim of this project was threefold: reorganizing the noisy intersection of Place Denfert-Rochereau into a more dyanmic and structured area, merging two existing museums in single «Paris Liberation Memorial Museum», and creating a suitable scenography adapted to this historical location (the «PC Rol-Tangy»).

The busy intersection needed to be transformed into a more pedestrian square, with improved access to public transportation, the Paris Catacombs and the new museum. The redefined space would also be able to host new activities such as community gardens, sports facilities and a public park attached to the museum.

2019 ENSA PARIS VAL DE SEINE

Architectural project

The new museum is organized around a circular volume that is dug out and imperceptible from the entrance. This volume marks the location of the PC Rol-Tanguy, a secret WW2 Resistance command post situated 46 meters below the surface, which was key to the liberation of Paris. Small volumes are implanted around it, integrated with the outside garden and inviting pedestrians from all directions to cross through the museum. This open area at ground level makes this memorial a public space open to all.

2019 ENSA PARIS VAL DE SEINE
PARIS LIBERATION MEMORIAL MUSEUM

Architectural project

The chronological museum circuit is circular around the central volume, which remains «hidden» throughout the visit. Only at the end of the circuit is the visitor invited into the center, which hosts the final sequence, the «Liberation of Paris». This is the only room with direct sunlight, allowing for a reconnection with the sky and a slow walk in this grand memorial space, where underground hidden actions paved the way for the liberation of the city.

2019 ENSA PARIS VAL DE SEINE

The exhibition devices have been designed to be didactic, interactive, and suitable for a wide audience. To create a sense of continuity in the scenography, only two materials are used: corten metal and translucent plastic. These versatile materials can be used to create the variety of displays required to present the many exhibits, which are very different in nature: uniforms, pictures, newspapers, telephones, personal items and other war memorabilia.

EUROPEAN WORKSHOP

Public equipment

As part of the European workshop organized at ENSA Paris-Val de Seine, we worked as a team on opening up the Reuilly lawn and integrating it into the Bois de Vincennes. Our strategy was to requalify the space and integrate it into the park by creating a path around a network of pavilions. A red metallic thread runs throughout the plain, leading visitors to both permanent playground areas, and seasonal fairs. It serves as a support for a fitness trail, swingsets and slides, rest areas with hammocks, an observation tower, a zip-line, trampolines...and many other activities !

2019 ENSA PARIS VAL DE SEINE

The project was to implement a public library in which visitors could enjoy the surrounding rural landscape. The library is made up of two brick buildings, separated by a central walkway. The latter is covered in steel sheeting, with various perforations creating open sky reading patios and allowing light to penetrate the building. On one side of the walkway, a series of sliding wooden doors lead to individual quiet rooms with a view on the landscape, giving the impression of floating on the marshland. The other side of the hall houses the administrative and storage areas, which act as a barrier against the noise of the main road.

HIDDEN DOORS ; THE PATH

Exhibition space design

Hidden Doors; The Path by the artist Nour Awada is a project that consisted of a series of artistic installations, sculptures, and performative installations revolving around themes of femininity, pregnancy, and stages that the artist had experienced in her personal life. The exhibition took place at the Battaglia foundry in Milan. I meticulously materialized the story through a crafted path defined by materials, light and shadow. I worked with the artist on crafting both the installations and designing the scenography in the mean time.
