StreetSpace Studio StreetSpace as a studio researches the significance of life within communities and cities through their histories, urban form and lived experiences, which gives them their distinctive identities. As a studio, it develops the importance of appreciating the value of these aspects, as well as gaining insight for the needs and wants of the residents for a proposition that will best cater to their needs and enhance the characteristics of the area. Research is carried out through various forms, that allows students to interact with residents on a more personal basis. The studio has a very diverse culture, which has allowed me to explore topics that I am interested in on both an urban and individual scale. The studio has given me the chance to research issues that people face every day, and to form a proposal of how these issues can be alleviated to encourage growth within communities.
