We love where we live... Coastal Virginia is quite possibly the perfect place to call home: Four distinct seasons with just enough snow in the winter to have fun; long, lazy summers, and SPECTACULAR springs and falls. We are surrounded by water and history. We have great schools and colleges, plenty of culture within a day’s drive, and are convenient to just about everything…the beach, the mountains, Washington D.C, and much more. Lots of interesting people and places to visit, fun things to do, and great places to eat. When we launched our online photo contest, we couldn’t begin to imagine how many wonderful photos would be shared. It quickly grew into an amazing pictorial story of our community… favorite places, people, and events. There wasn’t room to publish them all, and so we’ve picked a few of our favorites to share here. You can find more at lizmoore.com. Thank you for sharing our love for this special community we call home! That’s me riding in the Williamsburg Christmas Parade with my husband Roger…what fun!

the historic triangle... We love our three colonial communities that boast many historic signs and sounds. Surrounded by the York River on the north and the James River on the south, a triangle is formed by three points - Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Yorktown. Today, in Virginia’s Historic Triangle, visitors walk along the path of freedom and linger in the footsteps of the ordinary men and women who created a new country.

One of the perks to living in Coastal Virginia is that we experience four true seasons. We love our colorful falls, brisk and brief winters, mild springs and long, lazy summers! We love the various activities that go along with every season, and if you don't like the climate, just hang on – it will be changing again soon!
