Lorenzo Winfrey
’06 Lorenzo Winfrey is a senior specialist at Amazon Web Services, spearheading go-to-market strategies for Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) across domains like Containers, AI/ML, and Modern Architectures to expand the EC2 Spot business. Lorenzo focuses on customercentric solutions, ensuring top quality while integrating valuable new technology. Before joining Amazon in September 2021, Winfrey was the Chief of Architecture and Standards at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), managing a significant portfolio of mission-critical projects. His IT career includes leading DIA’s AWS Cloud Broker Team, overseeing the operations of the Microsoft® System Center Configuration Manager enterprise solution, and leading the development of the agency’s first cloud-native, webbased application for real-time cloud spending tracking. At DIA, Winfrey received the Award for Exceptional Civilian Service for his exemplary contributions, its highest civilian honor. Previously, as a senior product manager for Rackspace Government Solutions (RGS), he led product vision, strategy, roadmap development, and branding for the global RGS portfolio, blending technical expertise with strategic leadership.
