The Peacocke / Dixon Road / SH3 Roundabout was a project to enable the entry into the new Peacocke development for Hamilton City.

The project involved creating a new roundabout on an existing straight section of SH3 in urban Hamilton. This section of road carries over 24,000 VPD and is the main road heading South from Hamilton on the southern side of the Waikato River. The project involved building this roundabout online, including 10m+ cuts to enable three new pedestrian and cyclist underpasses, large stormwater retention ponds, extensive retaining walls, and over 100,000m3 of earthworks in total to build the new roundabout and Peacocke access road.
