At Fletcher Construction we see industry training as an essential part of our employee development.

Our Higgins business unit has demonstrated this by supporting employees at all stages of their career through recognition of current competency, for those with long standing experience and supporting an apprenticeship programme to help the development of those new to the Industry.

We see the Industry, and our role within it as providing more than a job but the opportunity to build a sustainable career that embraces lifelong learning and creates a better life for New Zealanders. We are now sharing Higgins expertise across our other construction businesses and bringing them on the industry training journey with a focus on apprenticeships and recognising those in our team who have serviced the industry for years. In addition, we are actively campaigning to attract a more diverse workforce by increasing the number of female apprentices in operational roles. We couldn’t be more excited for the next 12 months.
