PROJECT: Rosedale WWTP Upgrade CONTRACTOR: J & R Contracting CLIENT: Fulton Hogan/Watercare VALUE: $4.6m

J&R Contracting won the tender for the installation of multiple power ducts and concrete jointing pits across an extensive network at the Rosedale Water Treatment Plant in Auckland.

The project was initially going to be an eight-month job for $1.9m, starting in February 2019. However, after amassing 63 variations for additional works, including installing water, stormwater and sewer pipelines as enabling works for Watercare’s new Thermal Hydrolysis Plant and installation of an extensive Water Sprinkler System internally and externally on various large concrete chambers, the project was finally completed in November 2020 for $4.6m.
