In early 2020 Port Marlborough NZ engaged local contractor Simcox (a division of Isaac Construction) to build the new Waikawa Marina Extension – Reclamation Civil Works.

The project designed by Shearwater Consulting in collaboration with PMNZ involved reclaiming 460m of land along ‘The Snout’ in the Marlborough Sounds.

This was Simcox’s largest project since it set its goal of becoming a Tier 1 contractor in Marlborough. The project ran from March till September 2020. It has been a great effort by the team to complete this work to a very high standard, on time and with a lot of positive feedback from both the community and client.
