C-1: Community Liaison Group (CLG) Comments

A Mt Eden CLG meeting was held on 8 th October to discuss the Mt Eden Enabling Works and for the

CLG to provide comments / feedback on the CEMP and sub-plans, including this C DWP.

No comments were received from the CLG on this C DWP.

C-2: Independent Peer Review (IPR) Comments

The Contamination DWP was reviewed by the Independent Peer Reviewer –Terre Nicholson of HD Geo Limited. Comments received from the Independent Peer Reviewer are documented along with details of resolution are in the following table.

Definition of Managed Fill under the Auckland Unitary Plan (Operative in Part) explicitly excludes the acceptance of any asbestos to such facilities within the Auckland region. Proposed sampling rate and analytes to be tested have not been included.

No reference is made to the Team Leader of Central Monitoring being notified upon the unexpected discovery of contamination. Added note that there are currently no managed fill tip sites in the Auckland Region that can accept asbestos.
