Two new stations with underground platforms will be built at Albert Street and Karangahape Road and a connection with the Western Line at a redeveloped Mt Eden Station. City Rail Link provides Auckland with a modern rail network expected of the world’s best cities. More connections and better frequency will encourage more people to leave their cars at home, easing pressure on Auckland’s roads. It will also provide residential and commercial development opportunities to support the city’s housing and employment needs and make Auckland a more attractive place to live, work and do business.
