Youth Sports
RECREATIONAL SPORTS AGE CLASSIFICATION
For the majority of our leagues, we classify our offerings by age or grade. Unless otherwise noted in program descriptions, the age calculation date for all youth sports programs will be calculated by the first contact day.
Our Policy
WAIVER + LINDSAY'S LAW
Players MUST have an updated Youth Waiver and Lindsay's Law Waiver on file yearly.

Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball officials are needed for the upcoming seasons. If you are interested in being a paid official, go to woosteroh.com/recreation to complete availability forms.
YOUTH
Basketball
1st & 2nd Grade LEAGUE
1/08 - 2/19
Players will build skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting in a positive, encouraging environment while learning the basics of the game through age-appropriate drills and games.

WOOSTER YOUTH BASKETBALL
Grades 3 - 6
Individual registration for all Wooster students to build fundamental basketball skills and encourage players to grow through structured practices

Students not currently on their school basketball team who want to build their skills in an organized setting can join this program

Our youngest athletes had a blast learning the basics of soccer this season! From dribbling and passing to fun teamwork games, these future stars brought the energy each week A big thank you to our coaches, families, and players for making the season such a success

What a season! This fall we had an incredible 130 teams across 1st–8th grade take the field. From exciting goals to great sportsmanship, our players showed off their skills and teamwork week after week A huge thank you to our volunteer coaches, referees, families, and players for making this season such a success We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone back on the field in the Spring!
SENIORHIKING
What a wonderful season of Friday hikes! Our senior hikers explored beautiful trails, enjoyed fresh air, and shared plenty of laughter along the way. Each week brought new scenery, good exercise, and even better company. Thank you to everyone who joined us we can’t wait to hit the trails together again soon!
