CITY LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE The City launched its new website www.CityofTyler.org in November. The new site aims to provide updated customer service actions and information to residents and visitors of Tyler. The site is ADA compliant, has online forms and on-line payment services. It also includes news, events, contact directories, document repositories and frequently asked questions. In September 2019, City staff attended training to learn how to manage content and shortly after began working to input information and data until the site went live on Nov. 8. “We thought it was important to upgrade our website and create a more user-friendly site and better online experience for our residents and visitors,” said Julie Goodgame, director of Communications. “With the new site, visitors will be happy to find how easy it is to pay their bills, request services and seamlessly navigate the department pages for information and news.” Staff will continue to enhance the content, integration and capabilities of the site. The site is hosted by Granicus, a well-known technology company that specializes in working with public organizations and U.S. government entities.
