CITY ASSESSOR DESCRIPTION The purpose of the City Assessor’s Office is to discover, list, and value all real property in the City of Suffolk. Real estate values are based on local market conditions and governed by Section 58.1-3200 of the Code of Virginia, which requires assessments to reflect one hundred percent of market value. Continued conversion efforts and conducted training for all office staff on the Vision Appraisal CAMA System.
Continued quantitative inspection tracking for the purpose of International Association of Assessing Officers standard compliance and workflow monitoring.
