The AARP Driver Safety is intended to provide all drivers, especially those age 50 and older, with a classroom and online course that helps them improve their driving skills, drive crash-free, sustain mobility and maintain independence! At: Stoughton Area Senior Center Date: Thursday Aug. 23 Time: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM You are welcome to bring a sack lunch Registration is required. Open to All Call now: 873-8585 The cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-members. Pay by check or cash the day of the class. Participation may earn you an insurance discount, so check with your insurance carrier In this four hour course you will learn: ! Steps for driving roundabouts. ! To manage dangerous blind spots. ! Proper following distances between cars. ! Safe ways to change lanes and make turns at busy intersections. ! Proper use of safety belts, air bags, anti-lock brakes. ! How to manage the effects of aging on driving. ! How to eliminate distractions while driving. ! Effects of medications on driving.
