Greetings, Sanger!

Another summer is in the books and soon the transition back to school for our children will begin. I hope that each of you has had a restful and enjoyable summer break. What a wonderful summer we experienced here in Sanger. From the City Splash-pad opening to Freedom Fest, and the summer music series, Sanger was full of activities.

With the start of the school year just around the corner, we begin to shift our focus. Our children are preparing to return to school. Some will be going for the first time and others will walk the halls of the high school for their last year. As our children return to school, please be aware of them when you are in school zones. Also, the 455 and I-35 construction will change some of our normal traffic patterns making our awareness extra important. The little ones are excited about seeing friends and what each day holds. Anyone with small children knows that even under normal conditions, when something catches their eye, they are off. Please be mindful that without thinking, they can quickly dart out into traffic.

Thankfully, Mother Nature will soon give us relief from the blistering hot sun and cooler weather will arrive. With the beginning of fall, Sanger will continue to be full of activities. Sanger Sellabration is right around the corner and before you know it, the Christmas season will arrive bringing with it the many celebrations and events of the season. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and visit DiscoverSanger.com to get up-to-date information on all the coming activities.

Enjoy the last days of summer. To our students, I wish you all the best for the year ahead.
