Senior SPOTLIGHT

Yolanda Operana has been a source of positivity amongst her peers at the Sunset Lakes Senior Center since joining over 15 years ago. With her passionate and caring attitude Yolanda makes it her duty to uplift and assist everyone she meets. Whether its words of positive affirmations or taking the lead with activities she is always giving back to her community. Yolanda has utilized the Sunset Lakes Senior Center to its full potential and created a home away from home for herself.

Yolanda often educates her peers during group counseling sessions about various topics worldwide, especially from the Philippines where she migrated from. She has strong viewpoints and is passionate about injustice. Besides being an active daily participant, Yolanda attends daily fitness classes and has improved her mobility and balance and has inspired a few of her peers to join in on the fun to get fit. Yolanda is admired for her dedication and positive attitude here at the SCSEFP.
