2025 RACIAL PROFILING REPORT PRESENTATION
Dr. Alex Del Carmen of Del Carmen Consulting presented the 2025 Racial Profiling Report. This state-required report provides quantitative data on all motor vehicle-related contacts made during traffic stops by the Forney Police Department during the previous calendar year. The report concluded that the Forney Police Department is in full compliance with all racial profiling laws as mandated by the State of Texas. The department also provides the public with information on how to file complaints or compliments, conducts quarterly data audits, and maintains a strict policy prohibiting racial profiling.



PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS ACCEPTED FOR COSTCO AND CRUNCH FITNESS
City Council accepted public improvements for the Costco project, located at 150 FM 460, and for Crunch Fitness, located at 172 Trailhouse Lane. Acceptance of public improvements marks one of the final steps before a business may open. The City looks forward to welcoming both businesses to Forney.
STREETLIGHT FUNDING POLICY APPROVED
Council approved a streetlight funding policy to help address lighting deficiencies in existing neighborhoods. The policy establishes a costsharing framework between the City and HOAs and focuses on areas where streetlight spacing does not meet current engineering design standards. In addition, Council directed staff to address a lacking streetlight at Little Gull Drive and Flamingo Road.



THEATRE IN OUR SCHOOLS MONTH PROCLAMATION
Mayor Jason Roberson and the Forney City Council presented a proclamation recognizing March as Theatre In Our Schools Month (TIOSM) to Forney High School Troupe 4123. Thespian Officers Addisyn, Joshua, Ethan, Rowan, Alysse, and Laura were present to accept the proclamation along with their director, Missy Lyda. Congratulations!
