Pitch in and help the CSD, JustServe, community groups, and residents clean and beautify our community parks during the CSD JustServe Community Day of Service. A little bit of your time goes a long way in helping to maintain our quality of life. Sign up to volunteer at www.yourcsd.com.

Residents, community groups, and neighborhood associations are partnering with the City’s Code Enforcement staff for its annual Spring Cleaning program. Volunteers and Code Enforcement staff will visit every street in our city to identify and address blight, nuisances, and safety hazards. Those in violation will receive information on the steps needed to be compliant with the City’s codes and ordinances. These actions, along with community awareness and involvement, help to preserve our quality of life—making Elk Grove a great place to live, work and play.

Elk Grove’s Community Identity Initiative seeks your input through interviews, focus groups, and online surveys to help define what makes our city a great place to work, play, and live. Information will be gathered over the next few months, and used by Visit Elk Grove, the City of Elk Grove, in collaboration with the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, to identify themes and ultimately develop our unique identity. The goal of this initiative will help us attract visitors and new businesses while leaving a permanent impression in people’s minds—a memorable identity is key to ensuring future economic vitality.

Visit www.elkgrovecity.org/code-enforcement for details on how to volunteer or report issues in your area.

Find out how you can participate, visit www.brandelkgrove.com.

Improvements to Old Town Plaza

Visitors to the Old Town Plaza will soon find relief as crews begin constructing a restroom building this spring. Additional improvements include leveling the existing pavement and minor landscape and sidewalk improvements, which are targeted for completion at the end of June. Future plans for the 4.4-acre site, located at Elk Grove Boulevard and Railroad Street, will include a new pavilion, landscaping, and parking lot, which will be constructed once additional funding is identified. Project drawings and information is available by visiting www.elkgrovecity.org/otp.
