BURLESON RESIDENTS VOTE YES ON BOND PROPOSITIONS Burleson voters approved both propositions on the May 7 special bond election ballot.
BOND 2022
Proposition A for $33,645,000 for street and road improvements passed with 937 votes for and 844 against.
FIRE | POLICE | STREETS
Proposition B for $52,360,000 for public safety facilities improvements and construction passed with 903 votes for and 878 votes against.
Progress in Motion
Several proposed bond projects will begin in the fiscal year 2022, including the neighborhood street rebuild project, the sidewalk program and the design for the extension of Alsbury Boulevard from Hulen Street to CR 1020. Work will begin as early as June 2022 on the dual left-turn lane at Lakewood Drive and Wilshire Boulevard (SH 174) and on the design of the intelligent traffic system that will allow the city to control and synchronize traffic signals throughout the city.
