Awarded by Pearson/Edexcel South Bristol Skills Academy One year, full-time This course will introduce you to the catering and hospitality sector, and give you the knowledge and skills to progress to a subject-specific Level 1 or Level 2 course. As well as studying catering and hospitality topics, you will complete a Level 1 BTEC Introductory Vocational Studies qualification and develop your employability skills.

Awarded by City & Guilds South Bristol Skills Academy One year, full-time This course is an entry-level introduction to working in professional catering. You will gain an overview of working in the hospitality industry, food and drink service and practical cooking skills, as well as studying English and Maths at an appropriate level for you and learning employability skills.

Awarded by City & Guilds College Green Centre or South Bristol Skills Academy One year, full-time This course teaches students the essential skills for a career in the food and beverages industry. You will learn how the hospitality sector works and the different types of establishments and roles within it, as well as how to prepare and serve a range of savoury and sweet products and how to work safely with excellent levels of customer care.

Awarded by City & Guilds College Green Centre One year, full-time This course is for students who are interested in working front of house in the hospitality sector. You will learn the range of skills needed in roles like bartender and barista, as well as honing your customer service skills, learning more about wines, beers and spirits and planning layouts for a variety of events. You will also have the chance to gain experience at major events in Bristol.
