WOMAN’S CLUB COMMUNITY CENTER - 211 Vernon Street. Provides meeting space for various recreation classes, service clubs, and groups. The facility is available for rent for special events and seats up to 225 people. It features a renovated kitchen, audio/visual system, stage, and a covered outdoor BBQ area.
SOTO SPORTS COMPLEX - 1275 Ash Street. The Complex offers 4 lighted tennis courts, 4 lighted Pickleball courts, 2 Little League fields, 1 lighted Babe Ruth field, and 4 lighted softball fields. The fields are converted for soccer and football use in fall.
CENTENNIAL PARK AND GAZEBO - Olohan Alley and Short Street in the Arroyo Grande Village. Gazebo may be reserved for special events.

This mixed media class is designed to promote hand/ eye coordination, build self-confidence, and increase problem solving abilities. Media includes markers, graphite, watercolors, pastels, colored pencils and crayons. The class will focus on line, color, texture, composition and value. Subject matter will include animals, people, landscapes, abstract and still life. All materials are included! This class is on-going and on a drop-in basis so punchcards never expire. With your participation and encouragement, your baby kicker will learn and begin to understand the sport of soccer. With instructor guidance, skills are developed using engaging games and activities with appropriately sized soccer balls, providing an unforgettable experience.
Junior (Ages 3 -
4)
Introduce your child to the world’s most exciting sport! In our junior soccer class, your child will learn the essential skills to understand and enjoy soccer, all while having fun. Through engaging games and activities, our expert instructors guide youth in developing movement skills, with appropriately sized soccer goals for a more hands-on experience. With you by their side, kids will enjoy learning the basics—chasing, running, kicking, and listening—creating memories that will last a lifetime!
Level 1 (Ages 4 - 5)
Children will learn the fundamental movements and build overall motor skills. This course is designed for youth to learn the basics of soccer. This program focuses on technique using activities that help build skill sets, and helps children to gradually increase their ability to learn basic soccer skills while in a fun and nurturing atmosphere.
Level 2 (Ages 5 - 7)
This course will focus on dribbling, passing, shot technique, and teamwork. Children will be introduced to fitness and sportsmanship, providing an opportunity for children to be challenged through fun games and team interaction. Following the motto, Play, Learn, and Grow, children will be introduced to a variety of drills that will improve their motor skills, and overall play in the game of soccer.
Level 3 (Ages 8 - 11)
The Level 3 course is aimed to improve large motor skills, spatial awareness, and teamwork. The instructor will focus on agility drills in order to teach children how to perform under pressure. Drills are focused with more complex activities that include fast breaks and multiple defensive structures. Your child will learn explosive plays, improve their footwork, and develop their range and accuracy of shooting.

HAPPY TOGETHER UKULELE CLUB
Ukulele Club is a fun and inviting group of local musicians, playing a variety of music from country, pop, folk, blues, swing, jazz to classic rock. A digital song book format is provided when you join the club, and you can print the songs out or save to a tablet. This club is for intermediate players that can follow specific strum patterns, chord progressions, and advanced chord shapes. There is some teaching during the session but it is mostly an opportunity to play music together. The primary band instrument is ukulele, and musicians are invited to bring other instruments as well. Coming when called is not a natural behavior for dogs, it is a learned behavior. Discover games, exercises, and skills necessary to build a reliable recall. JOFYUL JUMPER
Dogs jumping on others can be seen as a sign of aggression and not good dog behavior. This class will teach your dog how to greet people without jumping on them.

DOGGIE GOOD MANNERS CLASS
Every dog needs to know how to come, walk on leash, greet people politely and leave alone unwanted items. This 4-session class focuses on these important skills while teaching students how to make dogs listen and pay attention to their owners. The goal of this class is to help the dogs to be well-mannered canine citizens.

AGILITY GAMES FOR YOUR DOG
Try your dog in a fun sport of agility where you will introduce your dog to running through courses of jumps and tunnels. SNIFFING GAMES WORKSHOP
Using the sense of smell provides benefits for dogs and their owners. It is a fun way to burn your dog’s energy and stay engaged with your pets. Sniffing for dogs is a great form of exercise and sniffing also calms the dogs and helps them with impulse control. This workshop is great for reactive dogs as the class is structured for the dogs to go through the exercises one at a time.

NOSEWORK FOR BEGINNERS
Do you know that 15 minutes of intense sniffing tires dogs as much as an hour walk? Using the same technique as law enforcement dogs, they will learn how to search for “target odors” by starting with food and the dog learn how to scent other items (phones, kids and spouses, keys, etc.). People love this technique because it is easy physically and it does not require much space or special equipment to practice.

De-stress and unwind from the pressures of life with this fun, expressive art class! The class will explore abstract and process art, experimenting with various mediums (paint, drawing, etc). The theme of each class will involve animals. Experience freedom from perfection, embrace mistakes, take risks, and enjoy the journey! Perfect for beginner to intermediate.
Dress for mess, wear appropriate clothes and shoes. The one-time $15 materials fee (paid in cash on first day of class) will cover materials which you’ll keep (your canvases or paper, etc). The rest of the art supplies are provided.

SERGER SEWING & EMBROIDERY MACHINE BASICS

A low impact exercise program using chairs with optional standing exercises, this class is designed to maintain and improve joint mobility, muscle tone, bone strength, posture, and balance. People with arthritis and other conditions will learn to improve their overall health and physical fitness. Routines include use of hand weights, stretch bands, stretching, strengthening, balance and endurance activities for cardiovascular health. Each class ends with a relaxation exercise. **Stretch bands and weights are not provided, students may bring their own if they would like to use them.

This clinic is geared for individuals who have never played pickleball before and are interested in learning the game. What to expect: meet the equipment, the basics of holding and swinging the paddle, getting used to the bounce, the basic rules of the game so you can join recreational play, where to stand, and how to keep score. You will be playing a real game by the end of class!
