THE POWER OF

the power of pink
From the very beginning we’ve never shied away from being different. In fact – we’ve done just the opposite. It’s this spirit of being bold and bright that continues to set us apart from other financial institutions.
WE CALL THIS THE POWER OF PINK.
The Power of Pink is not the what or why of what we do. It’s the how. It’s embracing outside-thebox thinking to imagine possibilities. It’s taking bold action to solve our members’ problems. It’s actively seeking to understand by asking questions. Most importantly, it’s our commitment to empowering our member’s to achieve financial freedom at every stage of life because the power of pink makes it possible.
Makes Homeownership
Possible
BRITTANY P - Member since 1992
I’ve been a City & County member pretty much my whole life.
This year the team helped me in purchasing a new home! They provided a webinar that helped inform me on the mortgage process and were with me every step of the way answering all my financial questions. And best of all, when I found the right home they helped me lock in at the best interest rates!

Empowers Financially Smart Kids
EVAN M - Member since 2004
I love how passionate City & County is to get kids engaged about their money. In raising our kids, we’ve frequently stopped in for any events they do at the office or local community events. My son loves visiting the branch, mainly to get the sticker and Dum Dum, but also enjoys picking out a book from the shelf.
I love that the branch does that. Encourages reading about money, but also incentivizes with coupons and “goodies” for the kids. With my daughter and son’s desire to visit, find myself going in there much more than normal. Thank you CCCU!

When I found out my wife’s cancer returned, I shared the news with the manager including my concernswhere was I going to get the money to cover expenses. The manager was able to help me with a loan using my automobile as collateral which gave me peace that there was a way forward and one less thing I had to worry about.

City & County Credit Union first opened our doors for business in February of 1928. From the opening day to now 97 years later, one thing has always remained constant. Change.
The teller line has evolved from pen and paper to an advanced computer system to maintain financial records. The financial solutions we offer have grown from a simple savings account to a full suite of deposit and lending solutions designed to empower you to reach your financial goals.

As we continue to pave the path forward to meet the changing needs of our members, while also staying true to our founding roots, City & County Credit Union is excited to introduce a renewed mission and vision statement.

MINUTES OF THE 96th Annual Membership Meeting
APRIL 25, 2024
LOU BRUNO, BOARD CHAIR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 3:00 P.M.
• Proof of Notice of this Annual Meeting was presented by Mr. Pierce, and incorporated into these minutes.
• A quorum was declared present in accordance with Article XII, Section 3, of the bylaws.
• Lou Bruno, Chair of the Board of Directors, presented the Report of the Directors.
• Patrick J. Pierce, President, presented the Report of the President.
• Thomas Coulter, Executive Vice President Operations, presented the Report of the Credit Manager.
• Joe Piepgras, Supervisory Committee Chair, presented the Report of the Supervisory Committee.
Mr. Coulter stated that we received a number of questions prior to this meeting and we have reached out to everyone that submitted a question. There are 3 themes we saw in the questions that I would like to address here:
1. What are you doing to address extensive hold and wait times when calling customer service?
Mr. Coulter stated that we recognize that when you call us the hold times are not always ideal and we have been working hard to correct this issue. We have hired many new staff recently to assist you, but it does take a little extra time to get them trained and ready to answer calls, so I hope you can be patient with us for a little bit longer.
That said, we recently implemented new internal call center software. This software creates efficiencies for our call center staff behind the scenes so they can answer your call quickly & reduce the total call center wait time. We promise we recognize this as an opportunity and are working hard to shorten our call waiting times.
2. Why aren’t the interest rates on loans lower and the rates on savings higher?
Mr. Coulter stated that at City & County Credit Union, we are continually evaluating our rates to ensure we are staying competitive and offering our members the best products and services.
Specifically, with deposit and loan rates, we look at our competitors and watch the market to ensure we are setting rates that maintain a financially strong cooperative, but ultimately also benefit you as a member. For example – our auto loan rates continue to be substantially lower than big banks and financing at the dealership. We are also offering a competitive 9-month & 15-month CD Special to help you boost your savings with a locked in rate.
As a transparent member-owned cooperative, you can always find our rates by visiting our website – CCCU.COM.
3.Does City & County have any plans to offer home mortgage loans?
Mr. Coulter stated we have offered 1st mortgages for many years now and are here to assist you with all your home lending needs. We also keep all our loan servicing local so you don’t have to worry about your mortgage being sold off to another lender or servicing company. If you are in the market for home financing, please give us a call. Plus – we are offering a discount of up to $750 off closings costs by attending one of our Home Buying Workshops. Learn more by visiting our website.
