GOAL Smart City Initiative Development: Direction and Actions

April 2023 Update

| Lincoln Park SMART Neighborhood Initiative (7th Street to 15th to Orange Avenue to Avenue D): All underground, fiber installation and splicing was completed the first week of April. Contractors are testing fibers and finalizing asbuilts so that the Network can be handed over to FPUAnet mid-May. Staff is finalizing marketing materials and affordable connectivity program billing work flow details. Network go live date is June 12, 2023.

| Downtown SMART City Initiative: All underground and fiber installation within Zone 1 between Avenue C and Orange Avenue was completed the 2nd week of March. Staff is currently working on splicing and testing of Network. Network go live date is May 22, 2023.

| Kiosks: Staff has worked with the City and vendor on a revised MOU and Kiosk Contract. Contract and MOU is in final review from all parties. Staff hopes to bring revised MOU and vendor contract for Kiosks to FPUA Board on May 16th.
