Responsibility: City Manager July 1, 2021 Update The MLK, Jr. Commemorative Committee is continuing to move forward with the master planning stage of the restoration of the Historic Lincoln Theater. REG Architects have completed proposed renderings of the exterior and interior of the building. In addition, the Lincoln Theatre restoration project was awarded a small matching grant of $35,000 through the Florida Historic Preservation. The committee is working with a grant writer to determine if the restoration project could be eligible to receive a grant through the state for African American Cultural and Historical sites.
