Subiaco is the largest city in the upper Aniene Valley, and is located in the Simbruini Regional Park, the largest protected area in the Lazio region. The city offers many cultural attractions, beginning with the Benedictine monasteries of St. Scholastica and St. Benedict, rich in art and testament to the historical heritage of the area.
