Club news/ Northern Territory / ACT / Puzzle Solutions Deserved recognition The Rotary Club of Stuart Alice Springs recently honoured Judy Donnelly, a member of the Probus Club of Alice Springs (NT), with a Paul Harris Fellow. Judy, a long-serving Probus member who has been Secretary and Vice President, was honoured for her work within the community. She received her certificate from Peter Hoey.

A speaker well worth hearing The Probus Club of Marrara (NT) was pleased to welcome Jason Harpley, audiometrist from Audika, Fannie Bay, to speak on “Hearing Health for Seniors”. Jason provided an informal talk on the importance of monitoring hearing and seeking assistance when issues arise. Jason spoke on tinnitus and industrial hearing loss, which we may face over time as we work and play. He made a point of encouraging members’ children and grandchildren to ensure that they look after their hearing at work. The talk was enjoyed by those at the meeting and the President was pleased to present Jason with a Certificate of Appreciation from Club members.

ACT Probians Linga Longa in Yarrawonga Recently, a group of combined Greenway / Conder-Lanyon (ACT) Probians enjoyed a trip titled “Linga-longa in Yarrawonga”. This was an “all-in” seven-day trip with pick-up and return to Canberra. This included all meals, transport and entertainment. A wonderful time was had by all who attended.
