Tips for Publication of Photos Please note: any photo printed in alumni news will be no better than the quality of the photo submitted. It is important to follow these guidelines when choosing images. To be fair to all, a limit of one photo per 24-month period is in effect. Submit all photos with descriptive cutline (the event, place, date, etc. along with full names and class years) to alumninews@citadelalumni.org.

Digital submissions (preferred): Photos submitted via email should be an attachment and must have a file size of at least 4MB or larger. An example would be from a digital camera capable of at least a 10.0 megapixel photo set on its highest resolution (highest camera quality setting). Photos from smart phones, while convenient, must be sent at their highest/original quality to be printed.

Printed submissions: A matte-finish print is best. No Polaroids are accepted. Newspaper and magazine clippings do not reproduce well and often appear with a screened pattern which is unacceptable for publication. Prints from a home printer should be emailed as the original file instead of printed. As a general rule: The larger the size of the photo you send, the smaller the DPI needed for scanning. We can reduce large photos to print sizes and increase DPI. The closer a submitted photo is to the actual printed size, the higher the DPI level must be.
