"To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art."
– La Rochefoucauld.
It is rightly quoted, Health is Wealth. The real meaning
is understood over the years as the lifestyle starts showing noticeable indications.
Keeping the humor aside, having good health is the most essential aspect for everyone. Good health comprises of four factors of proper sleep, regular exercise, water consumption, stress management and well-balanced diet. Our body is basically what we eat as 70-75% contribution is from the diet we choose and the rest 25-30% is summed up in sleep, exercise, and lifestyle habits.
Researchers have identified that most of the health issues prevailing today are all lifestyle related, basically arising from improper eating timings, eating junk or stale food, sudden gaps in meals due to work pressure and more. Most physicians and doctors ask about the diet of the patient and can correlate the causes of the illness with the eating patterns. On prescribing the medicines, the doctors advise change in eating with allowing certain food items to create a suitable condition for the recovery.
The recent rise in gyms and fitness centers, coupled with the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, a large population has started taking food seriously. These have highlighted the need for and importance of the nutritionists and dietitians who guide and advise a proper diet plan according to the individual’s fitness goal. It could be weight loss, weight gain, muscle building or just fitness. Fitness centers, hospitals and gyms were the key places which had the importance of dietitians who advised logically and scientifically on the uniform spread of nutritious food elements in the person’s diet routine.
Offering a basic change in eating patterns, the dietitians have helped lots of people reach healthy Body Mass Index (BMI) figures, bringing about confidence in their character with a new zeal for life.
Applauding the crucial role in strengthening the people, CioLook India is pleased to present its latest edition, India’s Most Trusted Nutritionists and Dietitians , that showcases the prominent aspects of their working and dynamism of their profession.

My articles have been published in many well-known newspapers, publications, magazines, and web portals. I am glad to have appeared on many health talk shows on television and News channels.
I strongly believe in a holistic way of healing the individual. Thus, Rejoice wellness differs from all other aesthetic clinics by providing ‘Healthy lifestyle and complete body healing’ treatments with long-lasting results without side effects.
With my medical experience, passion, organizational skills, and positive attitude, I am here to bring Rejoice to our every client’s life.
While treating hundreds of patients in the early years of my career as a Homeopath, I realized that unhealthy lifestyles, obesity, and stress are the main causes of 90% of diseases. A Fit, Slim, and Appealing Body and a Fresh mind are each one’s deepest desires. But it is important to attain that in a Healthy way. Thus ‘Rejoice wellness’ was born.
What inspired you to venture into the healthcare sector as a Nutritional and Dietary solutions provider?
My career spanning over several years has helped me identify the startling truth about the lifestyle diseases. They are caused due to improper sleep, untimely eating, stress, sedentary lifestyle with very minimal to no exercise. I decided to heal them not just through medicine but help rectify their damaging effects through holistic consultation. I talk to them about correcting their bad habits and careless approach toward life and give importance to these basic aspects of their daily lives.
What USPs make you stand out as a leading Nutritional and Dietary solutions provider?
Rejoice Wellness differs from all other aesthetic clinics by providing ‘Healthy complete body healing’ treatments with long-lasting results without side effects. We at Rejoice wellness have a holistic approach. We do not work on treating just that one problem our client has brought to us; rather, we get our client’s entire health elevated.
Our diet patterns for nutritional healing (accompanying all our treatments) are from regular Indian kitchen ingredients; thus are super easy to incorporate into the daily routine without disturbing the entire family. And we do this with lots of food and lots of satisfaction for each one in the program. All our treatments give long-lasting results. All our technologies and treatments are cutting-edge but very safe.
We always are upgrading ourselves and our treatment systems. So we are an ever-evolving system aimed at making the entire society healthy. And helping each one of our clients become the ‘Best Version of Themselves.' With our treatments, we have reversed metabolic disorders like; diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid, PCOD, asthma, migraine, infertility, back and knee joint damage, skin pigmentations, scars, wrinkles, etc.
What were the initial challenges after venturing into the Nutritional and Dietary solutions field, and what are the challenges now?
Initially, bringing people out of the prejudiced mindset of ‘Diet means eating less’ or ‘Fad Diets will work’ was a big challenge. But over nine years, we have created this awareness that ‘Diet means eating right, not less’. Now the challenge is to keep doing better than what we did yesterday and improving our treatment system daily to give easier, faster results to all our clients and society.
Being an experienced leader, share your opinion on how technology is transforming the Nutritional and Dietary sector and what advancements we can expect in the future.
Well, diet and nutrition are an ever-evolving field. There is so much research going on globally. It is very interesting to
We welcome each of our clients to the journey of becoming the ‘ Best Version of Self ’!
incorporate into our client care system. We expect diets to become more healing focused rather than weight-loss focused.
What would be your advice to aspirants willing to venture into your field?
It’s a wonderful field to work in if you have a passion for it. Making people’s life quality better and reversing their diseases is the biggest reward you get while working in this field.
How do you envision scaling the scope of Rejoice Wellness in the future?
We are very soon introducing new therapies at Rejoice wellness and new branches to serve more. We are also open to the idea of giving Franchises. The scope in this field is huge as with a stressful lifestyle and increased pollution, chemicals everywhere. More and more people will be willing to work on their health.

When it comes to good health, the role of nutritionists and dieticians cannot be overemphasized. They play a crucial role in helping individuals achieve their health goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle. While many people may think of a nutritionist and dietician as the same thing, they are, in fact, two different professions. Nutritionists and dieticians both work in the field of nutrition, but they have different levels of training, education and certification.
Nutritionists are individuals who specialize in the study of nutrition and its effects on the body. They often have a bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field and work to promote healthy eating habits and prevent disease through nutrition education. On the other hand, dieticians are healthcare professionals who have a bachelor's or master's degree in dietetics, have completed an internship, and have passed a national examination. They use their knowledge of nutrition and medical conditions to create personalized meal plans for individuals with specific health conditions.
The role of nutritionists and dieticians is especially critical in helping individuals achieve smooth recovery from illnesses or surgeries. Proper nutrition is essential for healing and can help reduce the risk of complications. Nutritionists and dieticians work with individuals to create meal plans that are tailored to their specific needs, taking into account any medical conditions or medications that may affect their nutritional requirements. They also monitor their progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure that the individual is getting the nutrients they need to heal and recover.
In addition to helping individuals recover from illnesses or surgeries, nutritionists and dieticians play a crucial role in promoting a healthy lifestyle. They work with individuals to create personalized meal plans that are designed to help them achieve their health goals. This may include losing weight, managing a chronic condition like diabetes or high blood pressure, or simply maintaining overall good health. They take into account the individual's likes and dislikes, as well as their lifestyle, to create a plan that is realistic and sustainable.
Furthermore, nutritionists and dieticians can also help individuals identify any nutrient deficiencies and develop strategies to improve their overall health. They can recommend supplements, if necessary, to ensure that the individual is getting all the nutrients they need. They can also help identify any food sensitivities or allergies and make recommendations for alternative foods that can provide the same nutrients.
One of the most significant benefits of working with a nutritionist or dietician is the level of education and support they provide. They not only provide individuals with the knowledge they need to make healthy choices but also offer guidance and support throughout the process. This can be especially helpful for individuals who are struggling to make dietary changes on their own or who have tried other diets without success.
The subtitle "Eat Well" is a crucial aspect of comprehending the role of nutritionists and dieticians in promoting healthy lifestyles and ensuring smooth recovery from illnesses. Eating a balanced diet is a fundamental requirement for maintaining good health and the role of nutritionists and dieticians in this aspect cannot be overstated.
Nutritionists and dieticians work with individuals to create personalized meal plans that meet their specific dietary needs. They consider various factors such as age, gender, medical history and lifestyle when creating a plan to ensure that it is tailored to each individual. Their goal is to provide clients with the necessary knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their food choices.
In the case of individuals who are recovering from illnesses or injuries, nutritionists and dieticians play a crucial role in the recovery process. They work with healthcare professionals to provide dietary recommendations that promote healing and reduce the risk of complications. For example, a nutritionist may recommend a high-protein diet for someone recovering from surgery to promote tissue repair.
Overall, the role of nutritionists and dieticians in promoting healthy lifestyles and ensuring smooth recovery from illnesses is essential. Their expertise and guidance can help individuals make informed decisions about their food choices and promote optimal health and wellness.
In conclusion, the role of nutritionists and dieticians cannot be overstated. They play a crucial role in helping individuals achieve their health goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Whether an individual is recovering from an illness or surgery or simply wants to improve their overall health, a nutritionist or dietician can provide personalized guidance and support to help them achieve their goals. By working together with individuals, nutritionists and dieticians help promote healthy eating habits and prevent disease, making a positive impact on individuals' lives.

Nutritionist
Nr Afsha Ammar, Founder Nutritionist, Clinical Dietitian, and Entrepreneur EponymouslyA Harmonious Blend of Scientific Nutrition and Healthy Life
Ahealthy body and mind is the continuous investment by an individual in living by learning through each moment and following a natural, happy, and healthy lifestyle. This learning comes from education. Education, in a sense defined by a very renowned Nutritionist, Afsha Ammar . She says the term ‘education’ encompasses more than just knowledge and knowing. She says, “ It is a harmonious blend of academia, arts, sports, emotions, attitudes, creativity, nature and life itself! And in the world we have built today, the one who is adept in all these areas is the one who succeeds .”
She named her online clinic ‘ Eponymously .’A Nutritionist , a Clinical Dietitian , an Entrepreneur , and a mother of two daughters, Nr Afsha, offers online consultations only She believes that maintaining a healthy lifestyle may be challenging, given the busy lives we all lead. More often than not, ‘eating well’ is thought of as restrictions imposed on our lives rather than consuming in a manner that may bring enrichment and enjoyment. It is here that her role comes into the picture.
With over seven years of experience transforming health for more than 1,000 clients across different continents and time zones, Nr Afsha helps individuals mend the gap between knowing and consuming food healthily . Through a scientific approach, she aids in organizing nutritional lifestyles. Further, she works as a support system for her clients in addressing and solving food issues in every unique circumstance. Thereby bringing them the benefits of the magic of nutrition.
Reminiscing on her school days, she realized the mysterious workings of time and how it seems like her journey as a Clinical Nutritionist began only yesterday. However, it’s interesting to mention that she had never envisioned a future where she would don the coat of a nutritionist. “ I was an ordinary girl who was always punctual and sincere about her studies ,” she says. Soon after completing her HSc from Jai Hind College, Nr Afsha found herself at a crossroads regarding the course her career would take.
Being born into an Indian Muslim family, many members of her extended family took the liberty to feed her parents the idea of marrying her off.
Fortunately, Nr Afsha’s parents recognized her potential and wanted to see her leave her own mark on society. She recalls, “ It was just then that my mom introduced me to the
India's Most Trusted Nutritionists &
Dieticians
field of Nutrition and Dietetics .” Once she completed her graduation and internship in Food Nutrition and Dietetics, she got married and was soon blessed with a lovely daughter. Time was whizzing past, and Nr Afsha didn’t anticipate where life was taking her. With her parents, husband, siblings, and in-laws supporting her, she was confident enough to commence her journey as a nutritionist.
Landing her first project worth ₹3,000, she was overwhelmed; that was just the beginning of her growth. Nr Afsha entered the industry by working from a simple home setup and a system of hard work, passion, and dedication. In the first three years, she observed some substantive growth after helping her clients reverse their weight issues, diabetes, cholesterol, PCOS, and other medical conditions. Before she realized it, it was 2021, and her second daughter was already one!
As her children grew, Nr Afsha observed some clinical deficiencies as they exhibited crankiness, exhaustion after sports activities, and other symptoms. She planned a routine check-up for them to get to the root of it. And when the reports came, she was completely stumped. She realized that despite all her efforts to provide them with the healthiest homemade meals, they still lacked nutrition.
It opened her eyes to the fact that if a nutritionist’s child can be deficient in some ways, other parents could be completely unaware of the science of nutrition. It was the point where she understood how essential it is for every parent to know what makes a balanced diet, have scientific data about the foods they consume regularly, and the overall impact they have on their kids, who are the future.
Nr Afsha claims, “ This journey of educating the community and uplifting society, making the old look younger, and the younger look youngest brings me the utmost joy and satisfaction. My profession allows me to give back to society. I hope to continue doing this for the rest of my life .”
Basic nutritional knowledge should be provided even to the poor. So, everyone can make ideal dietary choices starting at home. And reverse existing nutritional disorders and unhealthy practices. This vision and her desire to help people inspired her to partner with her father’s NGO, 'Pydhonie Welfare Association.' They are panellists at two esteemed hospitals. Wockhardt and Global Hospital. There they provide free or discounted nutritional support, OPD Consultations, Health check packages, and Discharge bills to many people.
Sharing the USPs that make her stand out as a leading Nutritional and Dietary solutions provider, Nr Afsha says every dietitian on Instagram is on the platform to promote themselves, their plans and packages and build a big business based on it. While “ My major focus is on bridging the gap between the rich and poor with a choice of foods that can meet the needs of the poor and help them overcome their deficiency .” In the end, all humans are the same, but it is the socioeconomic factor that creates a difference in society.
Besides being a dietitian and playing a key role at an NGO, Nr Afsha is building her brand of healthy snacks, which will see the light of day at the end of 2023. Snacks have become just as integral to people’s days and lifestyles as their four square meals. She says, “ What we choose to snack on can have lasting consequences on our health. Therefore, I want to help people snack healthily and consciously through my products .”
Further, she has drafted a book with nutrition-rich recipes for children. Micronutrients are the stars of said recipes. Besides the rich nourishment, the simplicity and accessibility of the ingredients and methods will profoundly benefit parents of all ages and income levels.
Highlighting the initial challenges after venturing into the Nutritional and Dietary solutions field, viz-a-viz the challenges now, Nr Afsha says that the biggest challenge is the mindset of the people. In many cases, she had to transform scepticism into trust. This process can vary in length and complexity from person to person. Individuals believe they know what is good for their bodies until their bodies (and minds) tell them otherwise. “ Many are initially hesitant to approach a nutritionist. Because we take a magnifying glass to their dietary habits and sometimes recommend complete overhauls, it can be terrifying at the outset. However, once the efficacy of my solutions dawns on them, we establish a trusting relationship ,” she adds.
Being an experienced leader, in her opinion, relying on unverified sources to plan diets for children can be dangerous in the long run. Instead, every school should assess their students at least once every six months to check their overall health and physical well-being, performance, etc.
Nr Afsha says that every market is competitive. “My message to aspirants willing to venture into nutrition is:
Ÿ Always have scientific reasoning to back every recommendation you make.
Ÿ Go for the trusted brands.
Ÿ Never suggest shortcuts to clients like herbal hacks, skipping meals, and taking substitutes. These are not sustainable in the long run.
Ÿ Always make sure your methods are logical and practical and can be easily implemented .”
On envisioning scaling Eponymously’s scope and offerings in the future, she reveals that with time, she plans to build her company with all the facilities under one roof — assessments, blood work, consultation, nutritional counselling, customizable diet plans, and a yoga room. She wishes to cast the net wide enough for clients to obtain comprehensive nutritional solutions.
Finally, in her note of thanks, Nr Afsha would like to express her sincere gratitude to all the readers for trusting her with their health and wellness. “ But this dream would not have been possible without the love, care, and support I received from my family .”
She wants to use this moment to thank the Almighty for all the blessings she has been showered with and the lovely family she is blessed with! “My father, Sarfaraz Shamsi , for believing in me more than I did in myself and being my strongest ally. My mom, Reshma Shamsi . She extended her selfless support and unburdened me in other areas of my life so I could focus on my work. My dearest husband Mr Mohammed Ammar Naim , for all the support and latenight discussions to help me execute my ideas the way I wanted. My siblings, Shahbaz Sarfaraz and Ayesha Shamsi , for being my strongest support and motivating me to do better in life every day. People are conscious when it comes to eating out in a restaurant. More Health cafés have come into existence. People in the restaurant field have also started keeping Healthier options along with their calorie count and total Proteins and Carbohydrate and Fat percentage in a particular dish which helps their customers to choose better.
She adds, “We can expect a better, Healthier, and more conscious world. With the newer generations being more cautious.” Nowadays, mothers are more aware of feeding their children Healthier options from a young age And not getting them into a habit of junk or empty-calorie foods.
In her advice to the aspirants willing to venture into the field of Nutrition, Clinical Nutritionist Pallavi says that the Nutrition field is an ever-growing field. When you ‘ Eat Right ,’ you stay fit and disease free. With People understanding the importance of eating right and what a Balanced Diet means, the scope of this field has increased.
“ But I would advise all my younger generations/aspirants to be truthful to their field .” Study in depth the Human Body and what wonders Natural Food can do. Nowadays, many short-term courses or online courses are available. People start practicing after doing these courses without indepth knowledge of Nutrition Science. “ I have also come across many people who have lost a certain amount of weight and then start giving out advice to others .”
The Human body is a complicated and intense machinery. Every cell in our body is different. What works for one does not work for all. “ My advice would be to go to a certified Nutritionist or Dietician .” Intern under them to learn well. Do a course from a well-reputed organization. Abalanced diet is a crucial part of leading a healthy
and fulfilling life. A balanced diet consists of all the essential nutrients that a body needs to function correctly. Proper nutrition helps prevent chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity. When it comes to healthy food, it is not just about eating a few vegetables or fruits. A balanced diet means that all food groups must be included in the daily meal plan in appropriate portions. Let’s discuss the importance of a balanced diet in terms of leading a healthy and fulfilling life!
The importance of a balanced diet is often overlooked by people, and they tend to focus only on calorie counting. However, a balanced diet is much more than that. It ensures that our body gets all the nutrients that are required to maintain optimal health. A balanced diet includes carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins and minerals. All these nutrients work together to keep our bodies healthy and functional.
The primary source of energy in the human body is carbohydrate.. They are essential for physical activity and are found in foods such as bread, rice, pasta, and cereals. A balanced diet should include carbohydrates in the form of complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, which are rich in fiber and other essential nutrients. Simple carbohydrates such as sugar and refined flour should be limited as they provide only empty calories and no essential nutrients.
Proteins are essential for the growth and repair of tissues. They are found in foods such as meat, fish, poultry, eggs,
beans, and nuts. A balanced diet should include a variety of protein sources, including lean meats, fish and plant-based sources. Fats are also essential for the body, but they should be consumed in moderation. Fats are found in foods such as nuts, seeds, avocados, and oils. Saturated and trans fats should be limited as they can lead to chronic diseases such as heart disease.
Vitamins and minerals are also essential for the body. They are found in fruits, vegetables and dairy products. A balanced diet should include a variety of fruits and vegetables of different colors, which are rich in vitamins and minerals. Dairy products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt are rich in calcium, which is essential for bone health.
Apart from preventing chronic diseases, a balanced diet also has several other benefits. It can help maintain a healthy weight, improve mental health, and boost the immune system. A balanced diet can also improve energy levels and overall well-being. When we eat a balanced diet, our body gets all the nutrients it needs, and we feel more energetic and productive.
A balanced diet does not mean that we have to give up our favorite foods. Considering the diet is in moderation and portion control is significant. We can still enjoy our favorite foods but in smaller portions and less frequently. It is essential to listen to our body's hunger and fullness cues and eat only when hungry and stop when full.
Eating a healthy and balanced diet is essential for maintaining a healthy body and mind. A well-balanced diet provides the body with the nutrients it needs to function properly, boosts energy levels, and improves mood and mental health. In contrast, a diet lacking essential nutrients can lead to various health problems, including obesity, heart disease, diabetes and depression.
Fruits and vegetables are particularly important for a balanced diet as they are rich in vitamins and minerals that are vital for optimal health. Dark leafy greens, for example, are packed with iron, calcium and other nutrients that support healthy bones, while citrus fruits are high in vitamin C, which boosts the immune system and supports healthy skin.
Whole grains, such as brown rice, whole wheat bread and quinoa, provide essential fiber, which supports digestive health and helps regulate blood sugar levels. Lean proteins, such as chicken, fish and legumes, are important for building and repairing tissues and maintaining a healthy metabolism.
Healthy fats, such as those found in avocados, nuts and olive oil, are essential for maintaining brain function and
healthy skin, as well as supporting the absorption of certain vitamins.
In addition to providing essential nutrients, a balanced diet also supports a healthy weight and reduces the risk of chronic diseases. Eating a variety of whole, nutrient-dense foods can help prevent overeating and promote healthy weight loss while reducing the consumption of processed and high-sugar foods can reduce the risk of major chronic conditions including heart issues.
Consuming a balanced diet can also progress one’s mood as well as mental health. Studies have shown that certain nutrients, such as omega-3 fatty acids found in fish and nuts, can improve cognitive function and reduce the risk of depression and anxiety. In contrast, a diet high in processed and sugary foods has been linked to poor mental health and an increased risk of depression and anxiety.
In conclusion, a balanced diet is crucial for leading a healthy and fulfilling life. It includes all the essential nutrients that our body needs to function correctly. A balanced diet helps prevent chronic diseases, maintain a healthy weight, improve mental health, and boost the immune system. It is not just about calorie counting but about consuming all food groups in appropriate portions. A balanced diet is achievable and sustainable with proper planning and moderation. So, let's make a conscious effort to include healthy food choices in our daily meal plan and lead a healthy and fulfilling life.
Food is directly proportionate to our health. Our diet is mainly responsible for our physical as well as our mental health. Following Nutritionist Sayantani Mohinta ’s metabolic based and nutritional diet plans have proven this fact to many of her patients and their relatives.
Praising her and her e-clinic The Diet Hub by Sayantani® , Surabhi Ranjan says that her mother Dr K. Ranjan has been overweight most of her adult life. She has struggled with her weight despite many weight loss programs and exercise regimens. During the COVID-19 pandemic, things came to a tipping point when her weight increased to 84 kg, and she started having difficulty walking from joint pains, uncontrolled asthma and hypertension. This was when Surabhi contacted nutritionist Sayantani for a supervised weight loss plan. In just four months, her mom has lost 12 Kg and continues to lose more. Her joint pains, asthma and energy levels have dramatically improved. She is happy, healthy and rejuvenated. The best part of her diet plan was that it was scientifically sound and nutritionally balanced . She was eating five meals a day and never starving. “ It taught my mom a new way of life. Ms Mohinta was readily available by phone or text to my mom and was very sweet and supportive. I cannot thank Ms Mohinta enough !” adds Surabhi.
A patient, Neha Dongare, testifies, “ This is the second time I am taking consultation from her as I had gained weight after delivery...she is super cooperative...within four months lost 12 Kgs...highly recommended...Sayantani helped me to gain my confidence back...and the best thing is her diet did not affect me at all on my lactation.... ”
Another patient Saru Saseedharan says, “ I found Sayantani through recommendations on Facebook. I have hypothyroidism, and I have been struggling to lose even one kg for years! After consulting Sayantani and following her diet and nutrition advice for a month, I've lost almost Six Kgs. Her diet regime is super easy to follow, and it curbs
unnecessary hunger pangs as well. She also helped arrest my cravings by adding healthier substitutes for what I was craving. I highly recommend it. Thank you Sayantani !”
Adding on more feedback by a patient, Kavita Sarvesh, reveals, “ I am happy to share that I lost approx. Six kgs in two months and plan to continue further. Indicating inch loss, too. I am feeling healthier and lighter now. Sayantani is an excellent person. She transformed my attitude towards diets by introducing the form in a routine way with no added effort. My food habits have changed, and I am happy about it. Much gratitude, Sayantani .”
These patients have given five-star ratings to nutritionist Sayantani and her clinic on Google. The Diet Hub by Sayantani is a modern e-clinic that provides an online support system for healthy, customized Indian diets. It is for people looking forward to one-to-one consultation via the website thediethub.zest.md
According to nutritionist Sayantani, diet and lifestyle changes are holistic approaches. Unlike other health apps, customers are given tailor-made or customized diet charts based on their health requirements. A metabolic diet with no starvation and crash diets is provided, which is sustainable for lifelong. The diet is planned for one week, catering to the individual’s health requirements and food habits. The enrollment process is simple. By creating an account on the website thediethub.zest.md. Wherein one has to fill up all medical, food and biometric details. Then, a discussion over a phone call is carried out. To understand the member’s requirements. Blood test reports are recommended to members in case of any health issues. Once a member selects a specific service, i.e. depending on his or her requirement, the diet chart is uploaded to the member’s

account. Through telephonic discussions, emails and messages, constant monitoring is done by Nutritionist Sayantani.
The results are recorded post-completion of each week and depending on the results, the way forward is planned for the remaining weeks. The objective is to provide assured success and health benefits through easy-to-follow diets. The diets are also supplemented by proper guidance related to lifestyle management like exercises, yoga etc. “ Since it is completely online or through via media like phone/WhatsApp, my e-clinic can be accessed from anywhere and anytime Pan India and globally ,” mentions Sayantani. The website has successfully catered to the health requirements for various lifestyle disorders apart from weight loss. Diet for Diabetes, High cholesterol, Piles, Hypothyroidism, and PCOs are the services mostly availed by the members. Pre and Post pregnancy nourishment or weight loss diets are also some specialized services provided through the e-clinic.
Nutritionist Sayantani has done Masters in the field of food and nutrition. She has a rich experience of 18 years in the field of food and nutrition and provides counselling services for a healthy lifestyle. She has specific expertise in metabolic diets. It effectively improves the overall health of a member in the long run. Her focus is, therefore, not on
immediate results but on longterm tangible health benefits. She is a leading and well-recognised nutritionist in Mumbai. She provides diet counselling services online. A blog written by editor Nikhil Malve for Mumbai Coworking on 14th Dec 2021 mentions Sayantani Mohinta as the 11th best nutritionist in Mumbai who specialises in keeping the belly and body happy . She has also given talks at various forums and made impactful presentations in the Ladies' clubs and NGO’s regarding woman's health and dietary habits.
Food and nutrition have been Sayantani’s passion, and she has been inclined towards making a social impact and bringing awareness through a balance of food and lifestyle habits. As a nutritionist, she discovered the importance of easy-to-follow nutritional diets, which should be easy to comprehend and, more importantly, the diets should be
sustainable in the long run. It has also been her motto to make people aware of Indian diets. They are very naturally healthy and simpler to adhere to. Western food habits and crash diets are easily available everywhere, on any social media or advertisements. Now a day’s people can make their own diet charts via google and many apps.
“ But I have noticed that these diets are short-lived and further leading to many deficiencies in the long term ,” says Sayantani. These trending diets may show results faster than metabolic diets but have a deep-rooted effect on the body's metabolism. In this tech era, people are treating their bodies like machines and want quick results in a week or months with various combinations of diets. She aims to make people realize that diet is not
magic and does not work wonders immediately. The diet provided must be customized for an individual’s metabolic activity and suited to his or her body's requirement. Dieting also does not mean you should starve and deprive yourself of food. She gets inspired when her members achieve their intended health objectives like lowering blood glucose and high cholesterol, improving piles condition etc., along with weight loss and thereby start feeling healthier and happier. “ I derive contentment from my work when I hear about my member’s success stories through honest testimonials and how they have benefited from my customized diet plans ,” she expresses.
The Most Sustainable e-Clinic
Nutritionist Sayantani’s USP is to chalk out easy to adhere to Indian diets for her members to help them achieve the desired health objectives. The diets are based on Indian foods. Therefore, it makes them sustainable for the members to follow even after completing their enrolled program. Her e-clinic and website are prominently visible in Google searches. It becomes easier for people to approach her from around the world. Since it's completely online through one-to-one telephonic consultations, it is easy for working people to follow and get counselling sessions at their convenience. Her repeat members rate is high. Members have returned to her after trying various diet options elsewhere. Word of mouth and referrals has been her other USP. She has members who have approached her after receiving positive reviews from their friends and family. She has not ventured yet into formal large-scale marketing for her website.
The Diet Hub by Sayantani is a five-star clinic on Google for diet and nutrition e-business in India. The reviews are based on genuine testimonials from her members. Her diets are free from any supplements, artificial enhancers or metabolic boosters. Members achieve the results by following her diet plans based on home-cooked foods and natural ingredients.
According to Sayantani, her initial challenges were to make people understand the difference between dieting and good food habits. Earlier people considered diets only for weight loss. Now a day’s, people are more health conscious and demanding. They want diets tailored to their specific health requirements.
The challenge she now faces in nutrition counselling is that most people have already followed some or the other diet plans either on their own by doing Google research or through crash dieting. She also gets members who have followed plans through app-based services without tangible long-term health benefits. These self-researched or app services have created a negative effect on their health. It has slowed the body's metabolism and resulted in nutritional deficiencies. Many members have complained of poor hair and skin quality, fatigue and acidity issues resulting from the crash and unhealthy diet regimes they have followed earlier. Therefore, the challenge for her is to analyse their body metabolism and history in-depth. Having focused consultation conversations with the members and understanding their requirements is imperative. Subsequently, she strives to bring their lifestyle and health back on track with her customised diet plans. The current challenges are rebooting their metabolism, improving overall health, and addressing the targeted health issues.
Being an experienced leader, Nutritionist Sayantani shares her opinions on how technology transforms the nutritional and dietary sector. She says that when she started her eclinic, The Diet Hub by Sayantani, six years ago, people were not very tech friendly. They were also sceptical about online consultations. The majority preferred face-to-face or clinic-based consultations. Over the years and more so after the lockdown, people have realized that it is not the
medium of diet consultation that makes the difference, but the efforts put in by your nutritionist, be it offline or online. Her approach has been to leverage technology to make it simpler for her members to reach out to her at their convenience and availability. Members have accepted that customized diet and nutrition plans can bring out the intended health benefits when imparted through an online platform like hers. The acceptability of her e-clinic, The Diet Hub by Sayantani, has gained tremendously over the years. Needless to say, The Diet Hub by Sayantani, an online platform, also kept the momentum going during the lockdown phase.
There are many members from outside India as well enrolled in. In the future, The Diet Hub by Sayantani aims to leverage the power of social media and member referrals to reach out to more people globally and increase awareness about the benefits of Indian foods for bringing out lifestylerelated changes. Her e-clinic is also working on leveraging advanced analytics for in-depth analysis of members’ metabolic parameters and thereby aiding in chalking out specific diet plans specifically in case of members diagnosed with multiple lifestyle disorders.
In her advice to the aspirants willing to venture into nutrition and dietary planning, she says that she would like Nutritionists to make people aware of healthy diets with sustainable health benefits. “ Being a Nutritionist is not only about taking up a commercial profession. We also have a social commitment towards positively impacting peoples’ health and lifestyle .” She advises aspirants not to convince people to follow a crash diet pattern that may provide shortterm benefits but eventually spoils their complete body metabolism in the long run.
On envisioning scaling The Diet Hub by Sayantani’s scope and offerings in future, she says that she will focus on imparting online customised diet and reaching out globally for health-related counseling. Her objective is to make people feel confident about the right food and nutrition for their bodies.
The Diet Hub by Sayantani is available for everyone who wants to achieve optimum health goals for a lifetime. “ I look forward to more social media interactions and discussion forums. Social media platforms viz. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc. are the places to locate The Diet Hub by Sayantani for health-related tips and counselling sessions ,” she concludes.
