Four stages, three mills, flex space, and office space give productions the space they need to build, shoot, and collaborate all in one place. The 130,000-plus square feet under roof on 3.85 acres provides productions the option of shooting both indoors and out, saving valuable time that would be spent traveling to and from on-location shoots. Productions also have the option of bringing their own digital scenery to set, by way of a ready-to-film green screen stage that’s drive-in accessible with power included.

GANNON MURPHY

Cinelease Studios

Gannon, an Atlanta native with a rich multi-decade residency in Los Angeles and elsewhere, has built a notable career in the entertainment industry since 1996. His professional journey spans across Europe, Southeast Asia, and California. Gannon’s academic credentials include a Certificate in Business Studies and a Liberal Arts degree from the University of California (Los Angeles). Currently leading Cinelease Studios, he has focused on strategic expansion and technological innovation in the Studio Division and the Lighting & Grip Division of Cinelease, contributing significantly to their success.

Gannon has continued to serve on the Executive Board of several trade associations, playing a critical role in advocating for and shaping policies around film and television tax incentives in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. As the Board Chair of the Georgia Screen Entertainment Coalition and Board President of the Screen Alliance of New Jersey, Gannon has successfully lobbied for legislative changes that have benefited the local and regional entertainment industries, leading to increased investment and job creation.

Gannon’s commitment to safety in the film industry has been exemplified through his work with the Safety for Sarah Film Foundation, where he has helped secure funding for educational programs that teach industry safety practices.

His role on the Board of the GA Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and The Alzheimer’s Impact Movement Leadership Society has seen significant strides in 2023 with record fundraising achievements at the annual Atlanta Walk to End Alzheimer’s, reflecting his dedication to community service and health advocacy.

JESSA GRAZIOPLENE

Director Of Studio Client Relations, Cinelease Studios

Jessa started her path in studio management in 2010 at Albuquerque Studios, a stateof-the-art, purpose-built production campus where she built and developed the Studio Operations department until 2019. Her passion for problem solving, logistics and her ability to analyze situations with an open-minded approach has helped her craft creative and innovative solutions that best support production clientele. With her dependability, honesty, dedication, and enthusiasm, she proudly promotes perfecting the client experience.

DEREK ELKINS

Director, National Studio Sales & Operations

Derek Elkins brings over twenty years of experience in the entertainment industry to the Cinelease family, with a focus on operations, sales, and marketing. His experience spans all forms of media - including film, television, short-form, music, live entertainment, and broadcasting. Prior to joining Cinelease, Derek served as the Vice President of Studio Operations for Tyler Perry Studios. In that role he oversaw the development of the Studio’s 330-acre campus from a decommissioned army base to one of the largest production facilities in North America.

BILL SANFORD

Bill Sanford’s career has spanned over 25 years in operations management. He is especially adept at tailoring operations to create a superior customer experience for our clients. Bill analyzes each process with an eye towards constant improvement as well as advancing the organization’s mission. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing policies and procedures that ensure safety, efficiency, and stellar results.

BILL WALTMAN

Project Development/Facilities Manager, Cinelease Studios

Bill Waltman has been working in studio management for the past 20 years with expertise in facilities management. Most recently as Project Development Manager for Cinelease Studios. Bill brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in general construction with an emphasis in electrical and HVAC integration as it pertains to production in the entertainment industry.

DANIEL S. BASSO

Dan is closing in on 20 years of experience in the motion picture and television industry. Having provided services in major US markets, including LA, NY, Chicago, Atlanta, New Mexico, and Louisiana, he has held GM, Executive Director and VP roles in both sales and operations, spanning grip and lighting rentals, manufacturing and studio services with Paskal Lighting, Paramount Pictures and PRG. Recently returning to the NYC area, Dan is eager to continue to provide a positive client experience with the desire to expand Cinelease Studios market share.

OLIVIA

Prior to joining the Cinelease Studios team, Olivia spent 3 years managing the development and funding of Cinelease Studios – Three Ring. Since its inception, Olivia worked with the studio owners to make the project a reality. Now that it is, Olivia works with the Cinelease Studios team to provide a superior client experience and production support with attentive service. Previously an intern at the Walt Disney Company, Olivia holds a BFA in Media and Film Studies from Birmingham-Southern College.

An East coast native hailing from Philadelphia, Shane has 10+ years of experience on set. Before joining the Cinelease Studios Division, Shane was the Best Boy Grip on some of the largest productions within the Tri-State area including Creed, Creed II, Split, and Glass. With a background in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Drexel University, Shane primarily focuses on providing seamless operation for studio clients on the ground.

CHERIE PARK

Business Development Manager, Cinelease Studios

A Los Angeles native, Cherie Park has been working within the Entertainment industry for over 20 years with deep rooted relationships in every facet of the business.  She is able to bring meaningful partnerships together to help build Cinelease Studio’s brand equity with a focus on long term opportunities.

Cherie’s previous experience includes developing and marketing one of the largest stage facilities in North America, as well as launching a studio services division for a global licensing and distribution platform.

After starting with Herc Rentals in 2002 as a sales coordinator, Mark Lamberton has moved up within the company, now serving as Vice President of Entertainment – a division created by Herc in 2007. Mark oversees all entertainment business across North America, which includes more than 500 employees at Herc Entertainment Services, Cinelease, and Cinelease Studios in the United States, and Dwight Crane in Canada. Mark is known as a champion of providing exceptional customer service and a superior customer experience.

He carries a large rolodex of top-level Industry contacts and is an Associate Member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).

Richard has over 25 plus years of sales experience in the Industry. He has a wealth of Executive contacts across all platforms. He has been the main driver for Cinelease’s growth in the feature film market, supporting and servicing many tentpole films throughout the nation.

Director Of East Coast Sales

Steve’s career in the Industry spans three decades. Over those years Steve has built key relationships with many of Hollywood’s high-level decision makers. Steve has been the key driver for the growth in the East Coast market.

Steve Basso brings 30 plus years of experience to the Cinelease Team. He was formally the General Manager at Paskal Lighting – Atlanta, where he managed a very well-respected rental operation. Steve has a stellar reputation in the business and has numerous impactful executive level contacts throughout Atlanta, Chicago and Hollywood.

STEVE ORTIZ

Steve has been on the Cinelease Management Team for over 25 years. During that time he has contributed to Cinelease’s growth by managing and supporting the financial, operational, and forecasting aspects of the company.

Mr. Paz is currently serving as Director of Operations. Initially hired by Cinelease in 1995, he has served in various positions including Rental Manager, and Operations Manager. In his capacity in this position he oversees the day to day operations of Cinelease headquarters in Los Angeles and coordinates operational interaction throughout all satellite locations. Prior to joining Cinelease, Mr. Paz served in the United States Marine Corp. After his honorable discharge he started his career in the entertainment industry working for CineMobile/Santa Clarita Studios. Mr. Paz is also an ASC associate Member.

Mike has over 20 years of experience in the Industry. He has developed a large TV and Film client list that expands across the country. Mike has a great grasp on the Industry’s changing lighting technologies, manages the development of film school relationships and has been an instrumental part in the company’s growth.

KERRY KEENAN

Senior Studio Technical Development Analyst

Kerry brings almost four decades of experience developing many entertainment solutions for the lighting field from Fashion Shows, Trade Shows, Corporate Events, Music Concerts and most recently in Film and TV. Kerry moved to Atlanta after graduating with a BFA in Theater Arts from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY in 1991 for a 9-month contact with a LORT theater. Now many years later he and his family still call Atlanta home.

Cinelease supports many diverse organizations including Women in Film, Women’s Weekend Film Challenge, AFI, ASC, Safety for Sarah and numerous others. Additionally, Cinelease supports numerous film organizations including Chicago International Film Festival, IATSE 479, New York Production Alliance, Piedmont Technical College, UCLA, AFI and others. Giving back to the film community is extremely vital part of Cinelease’s 45 year history.

Initiated in 2013 and funded by a Clean Communities Grant, the Jersey City Mural Arts Program is a Mayor’s Office Initiative that links established and emerging local, national and international mural artists with property owners city-wide as part of an innovative beautification program that reduces graffiti, engages local residents and is transforming Jersey City into an outdoor art gallery. Cinelease Studios Caven Point commissioned a local artist in New Jersey to create a massive mural paying homage to the robust history of film and entertaiment in the state where filmmaking began. The mural is painted on the outside of Stage 1 and can be seen from the street (pictured below).
