Cinelease supports many diverse organizations including Women in Film, Women’s Weekend Film Challenge, AFI, ASC, Safety for Sarah and numerous others. Additionally, Cinelease supports numerous film organizations including Chicago International Film Festival, IATSE 479, New York Production Alliance, Piedmont Technical College, UCLA, AFI and others. Giving back to the film community is extremely vital part of Cinelease’s 45 year history.
Initiated in 2013 and funded by a Clean Communities Grant, the Jersey City Mural Arts Program is a Mayor’s Office Initiative that links established and emerging local, national and international mural artists with property owners city-wide as part of an innovative beautification program that reduces graffiti, engages local residents and is transforming Jersey City into an outdoor art gallery. Cinelease Studios Caven Point commissioned a local artist in New Jersey to create a massive mural paying homage to the robust history of film and entertaiment in the state where filmmaking began. The mural is painted on the outside of Stage 1 and can be seen from the street (pictured below).
