JAMES BOWDEN Mr. James “Red” Bowden Age: 64 of Jamestown passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Cumberland Medical Center. James Red Bowden was born March 27, 1957 to Ruth Bowden. He loved life and was the definition of “friend” to so many. At 16 after the passing of his mother, he moved in and lived with his sister Jane Hendrickson. He was blessed

with a brother Bill, and sisters Jane, Judy, Sammie and Bettye. Red enjoyed cars and spent many years working in the automotive area. Through the years he met many individuals, made many friends and repaired their cars. Even after retirement if you asked him a question about your brakes, alternator, or any car part, he could most likely set you in the right direction for a fix. Not only did he enjoy repairing all cars, but he loved the oldies. A 66 Chevelle always caught his attention, everything from the paint job and tires to those roaring engines. He may also have been guilty of enjoying the speed, he did some drag racing and maybe even a little street racing back in the day. Red met his life’s soulmate back in the early 80’s and they married in March of 1986. Sherri Delk Bowden was (Continued To Page 2)
