











Vicky “Vee” McWhorter is a Cincinnati native and a graduate of Hughes High School. In 1973, she was crowned the first Miss Black Teenage America Pageant winner of Cincinnati, where she was honored doing her crowning by the original “Shaft” Richard Roundtree! In 1975 & 1976, she awarded Ms. Dream Girl, Ms. Positivity and most likely to succeed while at High School. At age 12 , Vicky was awarded Musician of the Year in Cincinnati in addition to receiving the “Key to the City of Cincinnati from Mayor Theodore Berry. Her Television and Acting career began on WCPO TV Show “Juvenile Court” where she appeared as “Marcy” for five consecutive episodes and WLWT “Bob Braun 50 50 Club, Various guest appearances. Vicky has appeared in National TV Commercials for Keebler Cookie, Blockbuster Videos and Always Pantyliners. Vicky performed local with her duet partner Larry Holston managed by local businessman William “Bill” Waller doing the 70’s. In addition to numerous TV and Radio commercials for Proctor & Gamble and Modeling with Entrepreneurial Ventures. Her career continued to expand international when she relocated to Japan where she is a very popular entertainer. Her first recording along with Larry Holston was title:” How I Wish You Were Here” on Fraternity Records with LA Reid on drums and Kayo from the Deele on Bass hit the WCIN charts for weeks at #2 on their top 20 chart. Later recordings in Japan are “We All Need World” and Y2K/Save The World”. Other recordings were released on Sony, Polydor and Mercury Records. As a Radio DJ and Personality, she a #1 Radio DJ for FM North wave and Apple in Japan. Vicky has collaborated with the following Major Recording Artists: LA Reid, Jeffery Daniels (Shalamar (, Baby Face, Bootsy Collins, Mico Wave, The Deele, Trouble Funk, Malcolm McLaren, Jeff Beck, Stevie Wonder, BB King, George Clinton, General Crook and numerous Japanese Artists. One of Vickie’s Cincinnati life highlights was playing the clarinet with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at the legendary Music Hall.
