The developer of a Hyde Park project that could include residential, restaurant, office and hotel uses hopes to present new plans next week for a site just south of the Rookwood Commons & Pavilion. Capital Investment Group of Downtown Cincinnati began buying property in November 2015 to construct a multistory building and parking garage at and around LaRosa’s Pizzeria at 2684 Madison Road and the former Pig & Whistle sports pub at 2680 Madison Road. Based on input from the community and Cincinnati planners, Capital Investment Group has since then repeatedly revised its plans for the roughly triangular piece of property bounded by Madison Road to the south, Besuden Court to the west and the Wasson Way bike trail and Rookwood Commons & Pavilion in Norwood to the north. Capital Investment Group most recently proposed these four options for the property: ❚ A six-story building with 179 apartments, 9,945 square feet of restaurant space, 6,936 square feet of office space and 340 parking spaces. ❚ A seven-story building with 179 apartments, 9,945 square feet of restaurant space, 6,936 square feet of office space and 340 parking spaces. SYCAMORE TWP. – A new brewery and distillery in Sycamore Township says it already is having growing pains and needs to expand to keep up with the demand for its beer, cider and spirits. March First Brewing began producing the beverages March 2017 in space it leases in an office building at 7885 E. Kemper Road. Now, the brewery/distillery wants to add a patio and more parking outside the building and convert storage and office space inside the building into manufacturing and taproom space. “Over the past year, March First has experienced great success,” said Kevin Kluener, director of operations for March First Manufacturing, doing business as March First Brewing. “To be able to keep up with demand and grow the business, these changes are necessary.” Kluener made the statements in paperwork submitted in advance of a Sycamore Township Zoning Commission

tion building at 8540 Kenwood Road. “The expanded parking lot will help with needed parking and reduce overflow parking at surrounding businesses,” Kluener said. “A patio in the front of the building will help to increase awareness of the taproom location and create a unique dining and drinking atmosphere. “Increasing the manufacturing space will allow us to increase capacity and produce more beverages for the community to enjoy,” Kluener said. In addition to beer and cider, March First Brewing produces vodka, whiskey and rum. It sells its beverages at bars, restaurants, entertainment venues, food marts and gas stations in Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren counties. In March, March First Brewing began distributing beverages in Northern Kentucky. The business currently operates its taproom and pizza kitchen Tuesdays through Sundays.
