Meet the Cast

John-Robert Partridge - Dame Dotty/Director

John is delighted to be returning to the Cidermill Theatre for the third time as Dame Dotty this Christmas having been here for Jack and the Beanstalk and Beauty in the Beast

George Ormerod - Silly Willy

George is delighted to be returning to the Cidermill Theatre with Tread The Boards having previously played the role of ‘Simple Simon’ in their production of ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’ last year. George has appeared in four of Tread The Boards’ productions this year, these include ‘The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)’, ‘Treasure Island’, ‘Jane Eyre’ and ‘Phantom of The Opera’. He also completed filming for a short film this year titled ‘Daniel’s Room’ which will be released in 2025

George attended the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama for 3 years, graduating in 2021.

George was born in Worcester and has worked with the Worcester Repertory Company a number of times. These credits include; King John, Othello, Cider With Rosie and A Picture of ‘Elf. George also appeared in a short film, directed by Toby Amies, entitled ‘Killing’s My Living’ as well as the award winning ‘3 Sleeps’, directed by Chris Holt. Through his training, George was able to work on screen with such directors as Lee Haven Jones and Morgan Hopkins.

Abigail Drennan - Maid Marian/Musical Director

Ben Butler - Robin Hood

Ben trained at Drama Centre and has been seen across the UK and Europe in touring productions of Twelfth Night and with the Vienna’s English Theatre. He recently starred in a short film, 92, to come out next year, and was featured in an Edgar Wright production for Leo Burnett.

Other work includes The Lamb Disagrees at the Barons Court Theatre, and Chaos at the Platform Theatre This is Ben’s first pantomime and he’s thrilled to be playing Robin!

Jon Kerr - The Sheriff of Nottingham

Since graduating from East 15 Acting School Jon has worked as an actor, fight/stunt performer and musician This will be Jon’s first pantomime at The Cidermill Theatre and his 3rd in general having previously played Prince Charming in Cinderella and Beast in Beauty and the Beast. He’s very much looking forward to stepping into the villainous shoes of The Sheriff of Nottingham. Oh yes he is!

Jon’s recent work includes Wars of the Roses Live at Warwick Castle where he plays both Richard III and Henry Tudor. Being set on fire at Warwick Castle in Dragonslayer. As well as fighting on Amazon’s Rings of Power season 2, stunts for Netlfix Squid Games Challenge, stunts and acting in The Deadly Swarm and Zombies of the Third Reich and motorcycling around Wales for Maeving motorcycles next commercial.

Chloe Prince - Dancer

Chloe began training at Academy Theatre Arts, Worcester 16 years ago. She moved on to study a BA (Hons) in Professional Dance (Contemporary) at Dance City Newcastle, where she graduated in 2023. Since then Chloe has been back teaching at Academy Theatre arts as well as being involved in performance and event running Including a number performances at Dance City and the All England Dance regional and Grand Finals earlier this year.

Bethany Tolhurst-McWattGreen - Dancer

Bethany has trained in dance and drama at Academy Theatre Arts since the age of 4, achieving A.C.T.L Level 4 diploma in dance with Distinction and drama with High Merit. In addition, Bethany gained an associate position with Chantry Dance in both contemporary dance and contemporary ballet Having won a place at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, she is currently studying BA Hons in contemporary dance. Amongst her many festival successes, she achieved All England soloist gold & silver medals at National Finals

Helen Leek - Choreographer

Helen trained at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts and was the winner of The Doreen Bird Bursary. After dancing professionally in the UK and overseas, she moved back to her hometown of Worcester in 1992 and founded her own school, Academy Dance which is now Academy Theatre Arts Many of her students have made dancing their career, performing in the West End, ballet companies, pantomimes, on cruises, abroad and teaching as well as becoming choreographers themselves. Her dances have won awards across the country, notably at the Classical Greek Dance National Finals and at the All England Dance Competition.

Helens choreographic credits include 14 pantomimes at the Swan Theatre in Worcester, and she has also produced three full length ballets with the English Symphony Orchestra.

Helen is also a member of the RAD, ISTD and IDTA and is thrilled to now be on the All England Dance Adjudicating panel.

This will be Helen’s 3rd pantomime with Tread the Boards at the Cidermill Theatre and she is thrilled to be back again for Robin Hood.
