Black Shrew's Diet

Black shrew is a small and cute little carnivore animal. Since of it's small size, it's food commonly consist of insects, slugs, spiders, worms, amphibians and small rodents. Even so, black shrew also eat small amount of plants, like the other shrew!

Natural Habitat of Black Shrew

Like other shrew, black shrew also lives quietly inside rainforest. Because of it's size, people might not even see they running around! It's habitat is "montane tropical rainforest".

Black shrew, is the only shrew with black fur!

Black shrew also founded at Mount Kinabalu that located in Sabah, Malaysia.

Fun Fact of Black Shrew!

Do you know shrew able to walking on the water? Yes, ON the water! They able to do that because after swimming, their feet's stiff hair trap bubbles which make them floating! Isn't that interesting?

Also, black shrew is the most small shrew that ever founded!

That why it's really cute for seeing them walk and run ><

Why are they Endangered :(?

Black shrew is a little nad cute creature. But, due to human activities like logging and mining. Because of habitat loss and small amount of their kinds, they might extinct completely since the last shrew has been founded around decades ago at Mount Kinabalu, and no one really sure if they still exist.

Ways to Help Black Shrew!

For helping this little shrew, we could try to do more legal searching for this shrew. To not disturbing other animals, we could do the search and look for black shrew quietly .

We also could also reduce human activities like logging and mining.
