STATE YOUTH GAMES 2017 State Youth Games 2017 was another great and successful year for our church. We had over 100 people attend SYG 2017 from our church. With about 80 of them participating in sports throughout the weekend. We won Ultimate Frisbee B, Cross country U18 men’s, U18 Ladies and Over 18 men’s, as well as Beep test U18 men’s. We also had a number of teams make it into the finials in a number of sports. Creswick Champ youth joined with us again this year and they brought along 11 kids and 2 leaders. Over all we came 9th out of 71 churches who attended SYG 2017. The evening rallies were a hit as usual, with the guest speaker Sam Hearn talking on the theme “Brave”. As well as listening to Sam they all enjoyed worshiping God with the Youth Alive band taking to the stage. It was great to see our team continue to worship once they got back from the evening rally whilst sitting around the camp fire. Over the weekend we had about 14 people commit or recommit their lives to Christ. This is fantastic and why so many people put in so many hours work to make this weekend possible. We would like to say thank you to all those that lent items such as gas bottle, trailers, urns, and many other items. As well as a big thank you to all those that made slice or donated food to us for the weekend. This is a massive part to keeping the cost down for SYG. We are one of the church’s that has the lowest fees for SYG and this is because of the generosity of our church family. We have to say a massive thank you to Ballarat Trailers and Towbars who donated 2 trailers to us for the weekend so we were able to get all the equipment we need for the weekend and all the kids’ luggage down to SYG and back. They have been doing this for many years and would be great for us as a church to support them as a way to say thank you for this generosity. We had our SYG awards night on Friday 23rd of June with everyone getting dresses up into the formal ware. It was a fantastic night for us all to look back over the weekend and handed out a few awards. Flynn Jamieson ended up winning both our major awards which are the Best & Fairest and the Firth award. We have already started planning for SYG 2018 to try and making it even bigger and better than this year. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to come to SYG, so please consider coming next year to help us out and get to

Baby Change Table located in Parents Room next door to female Hearing Augmentation System [T-Loop hearing ] one2one is equipped with a FM hearing augmentation system. The system is suitable both for those who are hearing impaired and have a hearing aid with a 'T' setting, or for anyone who's simply a little hard of hearing yet doesn't have a hearing aid. Sets are available prior to the service from the Information Desk in the foyer, where someone will be on hand to assist those new to the system. Please remember to return your set after the service.
