CHUM CREEK HORSE RIDING & HUTS In 1995 ‘Clancy’ Lewis, at the age of 22, started his first trail riding business in the Dandenong Ranges, after working for many horse trail riding operators across Victoria. For a young bloke it was a great way to learn the ropes, meet good people and enjoy the Australian bush.

Clancy’s experience with horses equates to over 25 years, 11,000 hours on horseback and personally leading over 7,000 trail riding customers in the great Australian bush.

CHUM CREEK HORSE RIDING & HUTS Clancy and my worlds collided while I was on a 3 day Craig’s Hut ride and he was working in the Victorian High Country.

Life was never quite the same for both of us. Since then we have lived in London, Victoria and Sydney and have three cherished children. In his heart, Clancy has never really left the mountains and finally we decided to move our young family to Chum Creek, Victoria. As CJ Dennis put it ‘Healesville calls you to her hills’. It was the best move we ever made.

CHUM CREEK HORSE RIDING & HUTS We chose our property in Chum Creek based on it’s credentials as the perfect horse property. 136 acres of lush Yarra Valley pastures with over 10 paddocks with ample dams and fresh water streams all backing onto pristine State Forest with riding tracks that go forever. It truly is horse heaven and the ideal way to enjoy horse trail riding with spectacular mountain views.

CHUM CREEK HORSE RIDING & HUTS Clancy runs the horse riding side of the business while I focus on the accommodation. We love sharing this amazing part of the worlds and feel blessed to meet all the incredible people who come along our path.
