ขับร้องประสานเสียงใหม่ ๆ ภายใต้กิจกรรมดนตรีของวงซิมโฟนีออร์เคสตราแห่ง
ไม่ว่าจะเป็นคณะนักร้องประสานเสียงนิสิตเก่าอาวุโส (CU Silver Voices) และคณะนักร้องประสานเสียงเด็กประเทศไทย (Thailand Children’s Choir) ที่เราได้ร่วมกับสมาคมผู้อำนวยเพลงขับร้องประสานเสียง

ร้องประสานเสียง นอกจากดนตรีจะมีคุณค่าอย่างยิ่งในตัวเองแล้ว ยังมีงานวิจัยมากมายที่ระบุว่าการขับร้องประสานเสียงมีส่วนส่งเสริมพัฒนาการ ทางอารมณ์
คณะนักร้องประสานเสียงเด็กชุดนี้จะไม่มีการคัดเลือก ด้วยเราเชื่อว่า เด็กทุกคนสามารถร้องเพลงได้ ซึ่งได้มารวมตัวกันฝึกซ้อมสัปดาห์ละหนึ่งครั้ง

During the past ten years, Thailand has seen so much growth in choral music, both in terms of standards of singing and the number of new choirs. But the most exciting for me is the first steps into the new “territories” of the age group of the singers. We have seen numerous new choirs of older adults; and today we are witnessing a debut concert of one of the newest children’s choirs Thailand Children’s Choir.

Choral Directors Association started Thailand Children’s Choir in November 2023, aiming for it to be where children of any race and nationality can learn about music and singing with their peers, which has so much value in itself, and as research says, choir singing helps with their emotional, social, and cognitive development as well. We decide not to audition singers as we believe every child can sing. Our rehearsals take place weekly, and parents are always welcome in the seats behind the choir to observe and learn along with their children. It fills my heart to see family involvement and the new community of singers and parents slowly growing around the choir.
We are so proud of every child in the choir for making rehearsals a special experience for all and working so hard with so much joy. We are thrilled about today’s debut concert, and it cannot be possible without hard works from all the children and teaching and managing crew, support from our friends and colleagues in and outside Thailand, and everyone involved, especially the parents, and support from the audience today. The text of this piece is from the Ann Bronte poem, an English novelist and poet. This piece prevails with spirit, and embraces the force of nature. The moving piano accompaniment sets the mood, while the gently rocking choral parts give lilt and sway.

Mama Wawa - Nyi Nyi Myin
Mama Wawa is a Burmese nursery rhyme from Myanmar. It is usually the first nursery rhyme a child will learn as part of learning Burmese language. This upbeat tune talks about a child begs one's sister to dance with them.

Galop (from "Solfege Suite") - Ken Berg
This creative original features no words but only solfege syllables for text. It provides a fun opportunity for kids to learn how to sing solfege through its rhythmic tune and various articulations.
I Ku Mau Mau - Ruth Morris Gray
This traditional Hawaiian chant was sung when master canoe builders called for all the people to bring trees down from the mountains to the ocean side, so that a canoe could be built. The overall meaning encourages everyone to never give up, to strive to do their best, and to work together to accomplish a goal.

This abiding favorite comes from "The Muppet Movie". Expressive, inner-weaving vocal lines over beautiful arpeggios in the accompaniment creates a sweet and memorable concert moment.

Northern Lights - Andy Beck
This original work flickers and flashes with colorful imagery of aurora borealis. This piece is perfectly fit with young voices with the independent parts of each section which later come together in a glowing chorus like lights swirling in the winter sky.
Give Us Hope - Jim Papoulis
"Give us hope and we'll show you the way." This popular piece is celebrating its 20th anniversary with this edition. This song talks about hope that should be given the young ones. A great song supporting an important cause!

Natthita holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (B.Ed.) with honors and a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (M.Ed.) from Chulalongkorn University. She studied choral conducting with Dr. Pawasut Piriyapongrat and has recently received a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting (M.M.) from Portland State University, USA, under the guidance of Dr. Ethan Sperry and Coty Raven Morris.
Natthita has been singing in the choir since she was 9 years old. Her 20 years of choral experience include numerous international tours to choral festivals, cultural exchanges, concerts, and competitions in Asia, Europe, and the USA. Natthita has been an assistant conductor to Sathit Sukchongchaipruek of award-winning Wattana Girls’ Chorus and Wattana Children’s Chorus since 2012, where she has garnered extensive experience working with young voices. During her teaching assistantship at Portland State University 2021-2023, she was appointed an assistant conductor of Portland State Chamber Choir and the conductor of Portland State University Choir and Portland State Rose Choir.
Natthita is currently an adjunct instructor at the Department of Music, Faculty of Humanities, Kasetsart University, an assistant conductor of Wattana Children’s Chorus, Wattana Girls’ Chorus, and Chulalongkorn University Concert Choir, the conductor of Thailand Children’s Choir, and a committee member of Thailand Choral Directors Association.
