TEAMWORK

The importance of

or the athletes that gather in the school, teamwork is truly the most important strategy. “Teamwork is important because you need it to work with people in different scenarios and different kinds of settings. Having equal amounts of effort and not having to do a whole project by yourself is important,” sophmore volleyball player, Harley Morrow said. Athletes and students work hard to accomplish their goals while also managing stress and time. “You can accomplish a lot with teamwork. It’s an important tool for bonding, it helps build a stronger relationship in general. It’s a really valuable tool because it can’t be accomplished a lot,” sophomore wrestler, Asher Phillips said. Having strong bonds between teammates and friends makes things much easier and more enjoyable for everyone. “Teamwork can lead to a better sport and friend relationship and it helps working together through practices, tournaments, games, things like that. When you’re in practice your teammates need to pick you up, make you try hard and practice hard and get you to where you need to be during practice so that you’re ready for the tournament,” sophmore wrestler and football player Tristan Swanson said. The values of sportsmanship and teamwork play an important part in all team, and individual, sports. “Teamwork is like cogs in a clock where they all have their own job, but if one fails, the entire thing breaks,” Swanson said.
