his fall, the drama and theater company led

by EP Archer, performed a hilarious one-night production of Bad Auditions By Bad Actors by Ian McWethy.

This show followed the lead, Carol (played by freshman Madelyn Fletcher), a perfectionist casting director and her counterpart, Roger (played by freshman Hannah Boeding), a clueless teenage assistant director as they try to cast the classic Romeo and Juliet. But there’s a twist! All of the auditionees are hilariously difficult and untalented in their own ways making for an interesting and comical show.

Student director Dylan Blaylock, senior, said, “I’m kind of new to the directing scene but I’m really glad I had two great companions helping me out: EP Archer and Serena Sinnock.”

In addition to their great stage chemistry, this cast also gets along behind the scenes.

“It’s a very welcoming community. You never feel like you’re being judged and it’s a great place to start acting,” freshman Madelyn Fletcher said.

Putting on a show takes much work and commitment not only from the actors and directors, but from backstage techies and stage managers.

“Backstage tech takes a lot. You have to make sure to have lazer focus at all times to make sure evrything goes well.” sophomore Charlotte Potter, an experienced techie, said.

Lead Madelyn Fletcher said, “I’ve been in a lot of shows and I’m feeling really good about this one. Less nervous than usual.”

This cast and crew worked tirelessly to put together this amazing production. Enjoy the show!

COSTARS COLLABORATE Co-stars, freshmen Madelyn Fletcher and Hannah Boeding, go over their lines just hours before the production opens. REHERSAL BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE The rehersal before the performance was amazing and hectic at the same time. The techiees were all working very hard making sure that all of the lights, and sound worked flawlessly while the actors practiced.

They started the rehersal with a game where they stood in a circle an pointed to people and they had to name their role in the performance. At the back of the cafetorium freshmen Payden Devaney and Aspen Stiles put microphones on each of the actors. They ran through the begining of the perfromance as well as what the directors Dylan Baylock and Serena Sinnock would say at the introduction to the play. Then they had the improv actors come on so that they knew their timing.

Finally, they ran through certian parts of the play once they were ready in costume and had their microphones.
