LINK Day at Conifer has always and forever will be a tradition that the upperclassmen and teachers put on for the incoming freshman. LINK Day was supposed to help the freshman meet new people, become more familiar with the school, and help them get started on their new journey in life. The LINK leaders and peer counselors played a huge role in this important day for freshman, as they toured the freshman around the school and played games with them. The LINK leaders and peer counselors also provided the freshman with their knowledge on what and what not to do.

“I thought it was really fun getting to dress up as Pac Man and getting to play all of the games with our groups, getting to know each other,” freshman Madison Hess said.

This year, Hess’s older sister, junior Isabella Hess, was there to get to know this year’s incoming

“I think that the experince was super fun and I’m so glad that I was able to help the new additions to the school get comfortable and settled in to their new home,” Isabella Hess said.

The two sisters shared a close bond that they’ve had ever since they were little. Through thick and thin, Madison and Isabella have stuck with each other for all their lives. When Madison started her first year of high schoool she was nervous, as usual for any incoming freshman, but with the help of her sister she was able to overcome her fears.

“I’m so glad that my sister was there to help me get comfortable with where I’ll be spending my next four years. We share a close bond and love that about us,” Madison Hess said.
