TWENTY-NINTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME OCTOBER 19, 2025
Will not God then secure the rights of His chosen ones?
Today's readings speak about tenacity and persistence. The Book of Exodus tells us today how Moses and his staff were persistent until the end, asking God to back the Israelites and to lead them into victory. St.Luke's Gospel tells us the story of a perseverant widow looking for justice before an unjust judge, and asking him to rule in her favor In the passage, the widow represents poverty and vulnerability before the abuse and exploitation of the powerful, and the arbitrary exercise of power abuse.
The same as the widow, we sometimes experience suffering because other people stay indifferent before our person, our needs, or our loneliness. We all are human beings, always in need of mercy and compassion. Today, we are invited to discover how the joyful fact that God himself, through Jesus' incarnation, became a
human being equal to us in everything but sin, is the biggest demonstration of God's love for us human beings. Jesus' incarnation shows by itself how the allpowerful God is always by our side, to the end of times. The judge, the mighty, the creator of the universe, became in the person of Jesus, our faithful companion because He loves us.
Today's Gospel has an appealing message for us Christians: Suffering will never disappear from our world; it represents an integral element of our daily lives. If we decide not to nurture our soul with the spiritual food coming down from heaven, the paralysis resulting from a lack of hope will suddenly appear in our daily lives. As Christians, our duty is to always stay at the side of the poor and the oppressed. It is the only way to always provide sustenance and consolation for all those who are suffering.To discover the light of God's presence among the darkness of this corrupted world represents a way to understand that we are not alone; that faith, hope, and support for each other are still possible thanks to Jesus' sacrifice.

¿Creen ustedes que Dios no hará justicia a sus elegidos?
Las lecturas nos hablan hoy acerca de tenacidad y persistencia. El libro del éxodo nos narra hoy como Moisés y sus ayudantes persistían hasta el final suplicando a Dios por el triunfo del pueblo de Israel. San Lucas en el evangelio nos narra cómo una viuda insiste en su petición de justicia, hasta lograr que el juez desconsiderado falle a su favor En el pasaje, ella representa la pobreza y la vulnerabilidad delante del abuso y el atropello cometido por los poderes terrenales de la explotación, el uso arbitrario de la fuerza y el abuso del poder.
Nosotros, al igual que la viuda, sentimos desfallecer cuando creemos que nadie se preocupa de nosotros, que a nadie le importan nuestras necesidades, o nuestra soledad Somos seres humanos necesitados siempre de compasión. Hoy somos invitados a entender que, el hecho de que Dios mismo haya decidido hacerse igual a nosotros en todo menos en el pecado, es la más grande demostración de que Dios no es imparcial. La encarnación demuestra por sí misma que Dios está realmente de nuestro lado El juez, el todo poderoso, el creador del universo, se vuelve, en la persona de Cristo,un compañero para nosotros.
El evangelio de hoy contiene un mensaje para nosotros los seguidores de Jesucristo: El sufrimiento jamás va a desaparecer de nuestro mundo, es parte integral de nuestras vidas. Sin una adecuada alimentación para nuestro espíritu, la parálisis de la desesperanza puede aparecer en cualquier momento en nuestras vidas Como cristianos debemos de estar siempre al lado de la pobreza y los sufrimientos de la gente. Esta es la única forma en que seremos capaces de ofrecer sustento y consuelo a los que sufren para que jamás desfallezcan. Encontrar un rayo de la presencia divina entre las sombras de este mundo corrompido es una forma de entender que no estamos solos, que fe, esperanza y amor son todavía posibles ¡gracias a Jesucristo!

Vậy chẳng lẽ Thiên Chúa lại không bênh vực những kẻ Người đã tuyển chọn?
Các bài đọc hôm nay nói về sự kiên trì và bền bỉ. Sách Xuất hành cho chúng ta thấy Môsê và những người cộng sự của ông đã kiên trì cho đến cuối cùng như thế nào, họ cầu xin Thiên Chúa chống đỡ cho dân Israel và đưa họ đến sự chiến thắng. Trong Phúc Âm, Thánh Luca kể lại việc một bà góa kiên trì nài xin công lý cho đến khi vị thẩm phán vô tâm ra phán quyết có lợi cho bà. Trong đoạn văn này, bà tượng trưng cho sự nghèo đói và dễ bị tổn thương trước sự ngược đãi và bạo hành của các thế lực bóc lột trần gian, việc sử dụng vũ lực tùy tiện và lạm dụng quyền lực.
Cũng giống như người góa phụ, đôi khi chúng ta trải qua đau khổ vì những người khác thờ ơ với chúng ta, với những nhu cầu của chúng ta hoặc với sự cô đơn của chúng ta. Tất cả chúng ta đều là con người, luôn cần sự thương xót và lòng trắc ẩn. Hôm nay, chúng ta được mời gọi để hiểu rằng việc chính Thiên Chúa đã quyết định trở nên ngang hàng với chúng ta trong mọi sự, ngoại trừ tội lỗi, là minh chứng rõ ràng nhất cho thấy Thiên Chúa không hề vô tư.Chính sự Nhập Thể đã chứng minh rằng Thiên Chúa thực sự đứng về phía chúng ta. Đấng Thẩm Phán, Đấng Toàn Năng, Đấng Tạo Hóa Vũ Trụ, trở thành bạn đồng hành của chúng ta trong Chúa Kitô bởi vì Ngài yêu thương chúng ta.
Tin Mừng hôm nay có một thông điệp nhắn nhủ cho mỗi người Kitô hữu chúng ta: Đau khổ sẽ không bao giờ biến mất khỏi thế giới này; nó là một phần không thể thiếu trong cuộc sống của chúng ta. Nếu chúng ta quyết định không nuôi dưỡng tâm hồn của mình bằng sự bổ dưỡng tinh thần từ nước thiên đàng, thì sự tê liệt do thiếu hy vọng, sẽ đột nhiên xuất hiện trong cuộc sống hằng ngày của chúng ta. Là Kitô hữu, bổn phận của chúng ta là luôn ở bên cạnh người nghèo khổ và người bị áp bức. Đó là cách duy nhất để chúng ta đem lại sự an ủi cho tất cả những người đang đau khổ. Tìm thấy một tia sáng hiện diện thiêng liêng giữa bóng tối
của thế giới băng hoại này là một cách để hiểu rằng chúng ta không đơn độc, đức tin, hy vọng và tình yêu vẫn tồn tại,nhờ sự hy sinh của Chúa Giêsu Kitô!
