How I wish it were already blazing!
The word “gospel” means “the good news.”
The Gospel's message is able to set our hearts on fire; even at the cost of causing conflicts, or becoming a nail inside our shoes. In our modern society, the Gospel's message is not always welcome, and continually faces hostility and rejection. The Gospel's message constantly demands a life commitment, even when many times we do not have the will to accept it. What is more, some of its teachings face a strong opposition among us.
In today's passage, we can learn how being a Christian disciple demands loyalty well beyond any human commitment Today's
readings show us how the Christian disciple needs to make radical decisions, even when not everybody is open to accept them.Today's message strongly proclaims that Jesus did not come to offer us a nice and warm message, or to bring us an easy peace that would allow us to enjoy an easy-going prosperity On the contrary, today's passage teaches us how the Gospel always challenges us, and sometimes with ideas able to divide us: “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!”
Jesus came into this world that was already lost, and taught us how to make decisions that will change it forever. But He will also respect our free will.Yes, we can decide not to follow Jesus, or act out of disgust or resentment, or avoid not setting on fire our hearts with the challenge of imitating Him Today, let us implore for His Mercy by asking Him: Lord enkindle in our hearts the fire of Your love!

Evangelio significa “Buena Nueva,” El mensaje evangélico prende fuego en nuestros corazones, algunas veces causa conflictos en nuestras vidas, o se convierte en una incómoda piedra en el zapato En esta nuestra sociedad moderna, el evangelio no siempre es bien recibido, y continuamente enfrenta hostilidad y rechazo. Phúc Âm có nghĩa là tin mừng. Sứ điệp của Phúc âm có khả năng đốt lên ngọn lửa trong trái tim chúng ta; Sứ Điệp ấy cũng có thể gây ra những va chạm hoặc những vấp ngã rất đau thương cho chúng ta. Trong xã hội hiện đại hôm nay, Sứ điệp của Phúc âm không thường được đón nhận, Trái lại luôn bị thù ghét và bị chối bỏ. Sứ điệp của Phúc âm luôn luôn đòi hỏi một sự cam kết cả đời chúng ta. Đã có nhiều lần chúng ta không Muốn chấp nhận sứ điệp của Phúc âm, Còn hơn thế nữa chính những điều dạy bảo ấy đã bị chống đối mãnh liệt giữa chúng ta. Qua đoạn Phúc âm hôm nay, chúng ta học biết người môn đệ của chúa kitô đòi hỏi phải trung thành tuyệt đối.

Por el contrario, el pasaje de hoy nos enseña como el evangelio pone delante de nosotros un reto que a veces hasta nos divide: “He venido a traer fuego a la tierra,¡y cuanto desearía que ya estuviera ardiendo!”
Jesús vino a salvar a este nuestro mundo que estaba perdido, pero sus acciones demandan decisiones que todo ser humano debe tomar Aquel que no encuentre atractivo el seguir a Jesús, aquel que solo actúe con disgusto o resentimiento, aquel que evita o decide no incendiar su corazón con el reto de imitar a Cristo, esa persona se habrá entonces destruido a sí misma. Pidamos hoy humildad y sabiduría para ser siempre capaces de exclamar con el salmista: “¡Señor, date prisa en socorrerme!” Que con su auxilio y misericordia logremos siempre ¡Incendiar nuestros corazones con el fuego de su amor!

Nhưng ngược lại, Phúc âm hôm nay dạy chúng ta rằng chúa luôn luôn thách đố, và đôi khi có những ý tưởng chia rẽ chúng ta. “Thầy đã đến ném lửa vào mặt đất, và Thầy những ước mong phải chi lửa ấy đã bùng lên!”
Chúa Giêsu đã đến trong thế giới đã lầm lạc và Ngài dạy chúng ta cách biết quyết định thay đổi vĩnh viễn.
Nhưng chúa lại tôn trọng tự do của mỗi chúng ta. Đúng, Mỗi chúng ta có quyền không đi theo đường lối của chúa, hoặc có những hành động ghê tởm, oán hận,hoặc cứng lòng không để Chúa đốt nóng trái tim ta theo gương Chúa.
Ngày hôm nay mỗi người hãy cầu khẩn với Chúa: “ Lạy Chúa, xin hãy đốt nóng lòng chúng con với lửa tình yêu của chúa”.
