Through the Gospels Jesus had been teaching His disciples to persist in the face of rejection, to absorb the pain of insult rather than to return insult for injury, to pour out their lives in service to the lowliest child.

In today's passage we have the Canaanite woman exactly following His instructions. The woman, the foreigner, absorbed the silent slap and responded with unfailing faith. She challenges Jesus to extend the horizons of His mission. The passage now puts her faith on trial. The woman accepts the secondary role that the Jews accorded gentiles, and she turns to her own advantage the words intended to belittle her Great faith, patience, perseverance, and humility arose from the heart of the afflicted mother Humility and perseverance immediately unchained Jesus' power. “Let it be done for you as you wish,” the power of God working together with human actions.

The Canaanite woman can inspire believers to speak strongly and persistently on behalf of those in need Despite being ignored, insulted, and disgraced, she did not desist. She is an icon of God's persistent care for the ones who are helpless. The Canaanite woman inspires us to commit ourselves to action on behalf of the most vulnerable of our world. Today, as Christians, we are invited to follow Christ in praising the determination of those who are claiming their rights as human beings. Today, we are invited to develop the ability to change our perception of the outsider, the ones that we consider the “dogs,” and to see them as children of the promise to whom God's salvation is also offered. It is Christ who can help Christians to be converted from racism, sexism, nationalism, ethnocentrism, and many other obstacles that divert us from perceiving the “others” as sisters and brothers.

A través del Evangelio Jesús les había ensenado a sus discípulos a persistir ante el rechazo, a quedarse callados ante el insulto, a nunca contestar las agresiones, y a poner su vida al servicio de los desprotegidos.

En el pasaje de hoy, una mujer cananea parece estar siguiendo exactamente sus instrucciones. La mujer pagana, absorbe en silencio su indiferencia y le responde con fe inquebrantable, retando al mismo Jesús a extender los horizontes de su ministerio más allá del mundo judío. En seguida es puesta a prueba, pero ella acepta el rol secundario que los judíos otorgan a los gentiles, astutamente voltea a su favor las palabras que parecian humillarla Fe, fortaleza, paciencia, perseverancia, y humildad brotan del corazón de la madre Humildad y perseverancia desencadenan el poder de Jesús. “Que se cumpla lo que deseas,” El poder divino trabajando de la mano con el esfuerzo humano

La mujer cananea nos invita hoy, como creyentes, a ser persistentes, a hablar fuerte en favor de los necesitados. No le importó ser ignorada o insultada, ella jamás desistió, se convierte así en un símbolo del persistente cuidado divino en favor de los que viven sin esperanza. La mujer cananea debe inspirarnos hoy a interceder fuertemente en favor de los más vulnerables. Como cristianos, hoy somos invitados a imitar a Jesús en elogiar la determinación de aquellos que luchan por defender los derechos humanos; invitados a cambiar nuestros perjuicios para con los extraños, aquellos a los que consideramos "los perros" de nuestra sociedad,invitados a verlos como creaturas a quienes la salvación también ha sido ofrecida." Sera solo Cristo quien nos puede aliviar del racismo, del sexismo, del nacionalismo, y de tantas otras barreras y obstáculos que nos impiden ver a los demás como hermanos.

Qua Tin Mừng, Chúa Giêsu đã dạy các môn đệ của Người hãy kiên trì khi bị từ chối, chịu đựng nỗi đau bị sỉ nhục hơn là lấy nhục đáp trả, hiến mạng sống mình để phục vụ những đứa trẻ thấp hèn nhất.

Trong đoạn Kinh Thánh hôm nay, chúng ta thấy một người phụ nữ Canaan,bà đã làm theo đúng lời chỉ dẫn của Chúa Giêsu. Bà, một người phụ nữ ngoại giáo, âm thầm lặng lẽ tiếp nhận sự thờ ơ của của Chúa Giêsu và đáp lại bằng niềm tin không lay chuyển. Bà ta khiêm tốn xin Chúa Giêsu bao dung tới người ngoại trong sứ mệnh của Ngài. Đoạn Kinh thánh giờ đây đặt niềm tin của bà vào thử thách. Người phụ nữ này chấp nhận vai trò thứ yếu mà người Do Thái định kiến, và bà ta hướng đến lợi ích của mình bằng cách sử dụng những lời lẽ hạ mình để khiêm tốn cầu xin Chúa.

Niềm tin mạnh mẽ, lòng kiên nhẫn, sự kiên trì và sự khiêm tốn tuyệt vời đã trỗi dậy từ trái tim của người mẹ đau khổ. Sự khiêm nhường và kiên trì ngay lập tức tác động được quyền năng của Chúa Giêsu: “Bà muốn sao thì được vậy” quyền năng của Thiên Chúa hoạt động cùng với hành động của con người.. Người phụ nữ Canaan có thể là tấm gương để các tín hữu chúng ta dấn thân phục vụ và lên tiếng thay cho những người đang gặp hoạn nạn. Mặc dù bị thờ ơ, bị xúc phạm và bị miệt thị, nhưng bà không bỏ cuộc. Bà là một biểu tượng về lòng thương xót của Chúa đối với những người không nơi nương tựa. Người phụ nữ Canaan là một tấm gương cho chúng ta tranh đấu cho những người dễ bị tổn thương trên thế giới nầy Ngày nay, là một tín hữu, chúng ta được mời gọi bước theo Chúa Giêsu để đấu tranh cho nhân quyền của con người. Hôm nay, chúng ta hãy thay đổi nhận thức của chúng ta về người khác, những người mà chúng ta xem họ như là “lũ chó”; nhưng hãy xem họ như những người cũng được Chúa hứa ban ơn cứu rỗi. Chúa Kitô có thể giúp chúng ta hoán cải về sự phân biệt chủng tộc, phân biệt giới tính, chủ nghĩa dân tộc, chủ nghĩa sắc tộc, và nhiều trở ngại khác khiến chúng ta không nhận thức được “những người khác” là anh chị em cùng một Cha.Amen.
