Saint Vincent de Paul: Recently, we helped twelve families stay in their homes, and helped seven families with PG&E bills, so they had heat this winter. We also helped with DMV fees, storage fees, and work permits. On the weekend of April 29-30, the second collection will be for community outreach Saint Vincent de paul. We hope that you will be very generous in your giving, so that we may continue to help those in need.

Today’s liturgical celebration is to remind us that after Jesus had ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit came to replace the power of Jesus’ physical presence. From then on, God’s presence was expanded far beyond what Jesus’ physical presence could reach. Through the Holy Spirit, God’s presence could now reach any place where faithful Christians declared their faith in Jesus.
Today, the Holy Spirit is inviting us to go into the world and share the good news of God’s love. Today, the Holy Spirit is warming us up, and empowering us to break our comfortable silence, rousting us awake from our comfortable sleep. Today, the Holy Spirit is awakening in us the desire to go out and make a difference in the world. And, today the Holy Spirit is inviting us to go out and break the barriers between “us” and “them”, between “male” and female”, between “Jew” and “gentile”, between “rich” and poor”, between “black” and white”, between “legal” and “illegal”, between “first world” and “third world.” It is impossible to stay indifferent.
The Catholic Church is always in Pentecost mode. We are always gathered in the upper room, ready for prayer. At the same time, we remain open to the Spirit, always able to go and preach. It is the Holy Spirit that sustains the Church as one, permanently alive, holy, Catholic, and apostolic, continually remembering all that Jesus taught us. Today, during this our celebration at the altar of the sacrifice where the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit, will transform our humble gifts of bread and wine into the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us offer the best of ourselves. Let us humbly pray: “Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.”

El día de hoy celebramos como después de que Jesús había ascendido al cielo, el Espíritu Santo reemplaza el poder de la presencia física de Cristo. Hãy nhận lấy Thánh Thần
Nghi thức Phụng Vụ hôm nay nhắc nhớ chúng ta rằng sau khi Chúa Giêsu Lên Trời, Chúa Thánh Thần hiện xuống thay thế quyền năng nhân tính của Chúa Giêsu. Từ đây, sự hiện diện của Thiên Chúa vượt qúa những gì mà sự hiện diện về nhân tính của Chúa Gi êsu có thể đạt tới. Qua Chúa Thánh Thần, sự hiện diện của Thiên Chúa bây giờ có thể lan rộng bất cứ nơi nào người Kitô Hữu tuyên xưng đức tin của mình vào Đức Giê-su.
Hôm nay, Chúa Thánh Thần mời gọi chúng ta đi vào lòng thế giới và chia sẻ Tin Mừng tình yêu Thiên Chúa. Hôm nay, Chúa Thánh Thần sưởi ấm tâm hồn chúng ta để lay động chúng ta khỏi cơn mê, ban cho chúng ta sức mạnh và sự quyết tâm để thức tỉnh chúng ta. Hôm nay, Chúa Thánh Thần muốn chúng ta ra đi và thay đổi thế giới. Và, hôm nay Chúa Thánh Thần mời gọi chúng ta ra

Đồng thời, chúng ta luôn cởi mở để đón nhận Thánh Linh, luôn sẵn sàng ra đi rao giảng sứ địệp của Người. Chính Chúa Thánh Thần là Đấng duy trì Giáo Hội duy nhất, thánh thiện, công giáo, và tông truyền, liên tục ghi nhớ những gì Chúa Giêsu đã dạy chúng ta. Hôm nay, trong buổi tiệc thánh thánh hiến nơi bàn thờ Thiên Chúa Cha, qua quyền năng Chúa Thánh Thần, sẽ biến đổi của lễ bánh và rượu nhỏ bé của chúng ta trở thành M ình và Máu của Chúa Giêsu Chúa chúng ta, chúng ta hãy dâng lên những gì lành thánh nhất của chính mình. Chúng ta hãy khiêm tốn cầu xin rằng: “Lạy Chúa Thánh Thần, xin hãy đến, hãy đổ đầy tâm hồn các tín hữu của Chúa và thắp lên trong chúng con ngọn lửa tình yêu của Chúa.
