Saint Vincent de Paul: Recently, we helped twelve families stay in their homes, and helped seven families with PG&E bills, so they had heat this winter. We also helped with DMV fees, storage fees, and work permits. On the weekend of April 29-30, the second collection will be for community outreach Saint Vincent de paul. We hope that you will be very generous in your giving, so that we may continue to help those in need.

My yoke is easy, and my burden light.
Today’s gospel teaches us how Jesus was being thankful to His Merciful Father, source of all wisdom and life, because He has chosen to reveal this truth to all those who are humble while He has kept this knowledge hidden from all those who consider themselves wise and learned. But divine revelation is a real message that loudly speaks about the real purpose of our whole lives.
Jesus’ message is an instruction about how to love, how to serve, how to forgive. This is the message that Jesus gave to His disciples, and commanded them to go forth to proclaim. By fulfilling this command, a small crew of Christian disciples shake up the Roman Empire. They were not condemning anybody, but giving them hope, and reaffirming human dignity.
Most of the disciples ended in martyrdom, devoured by the beasts, or torched alive, but despite all their sufferings, they always maintained hope beyond any human imagination. They will always be witness to how Jesus’ yoke is not a burden, but has meaning when infused with love. They are an example of how human knowledge will always be overcome by divine wisdom who will have the last word each time.
This is the good news today, the good news for all those who have fallen and are desperate: “My yoke is easy, and my burden light.” Today let us ask the Lord to help us believe that we are not the ones in control. Let us ask His help to realize that He is the creator of heaven and earth, and not simply our copilot!

Por una vida eucarística.
Oremos para que los católicos pongan en el centro de su vida la celebración de la Eucaristía, que transforma profundamente las relaciones humanas y abre al encuentro con Dios y con los hermanos.
El evangelio de hoy nos enseña como Jesús agradece al Padre, fuente de bondad y de vida, porque Él ha escogido revelar esta verdad a los humildes, mientras que la ha ocultado a los sabios y estudiados. La revelación divina no es más que el mensaje acerca del verdadero propósito para nuestras vidas.
El mensaje cristiano es un mensaje acerca de cómo amar, cómo servir, como perdonar. Es el mensaje que Jesús mandó a sus discípulos difundir. Y con él, un grupo pequeño de cristianos cimbraron el centro mismo del imperio romano. Ellos llevaban una nueva esperanza, no para condenar a nadie, sino para reafirmar la dignidad del ser humano.
Muchos de ellos fueron martirizados, arrojados a las fieras, o quemados vivos, y a pesar de todo tuvieron una esperanza más allá de este mundo. Indudablemente que ellos han sido y continuarán siendo, una muestra de que el yugo de Jesús es suave, y que tiene significado cuando se carga con amor; una muestra de que el conocimiento humano será siempre superado por la sabiduría divina que tendrá siempre la última palabra.
Esta es la buena nueva de hoy, la buena nueva que alcanza a los caídos y a los desesperados. “Mi yugo es suave y mi carga ligera.” Al recibir hoy la Eucaristía pidamos al Señor que nos ayude para dejar de creer que somos nosotros los que estamos en control de nuestras vidas, y que nos ayude a darnos cuenta de que Él es el creador del universo, y no solo nuestro copiloto.

Chúng ta hãy cầu nguyện để người Công giáo biết đặt việc cử hành Thánh Thể vào trung tâm đời sống của mình, nhờ đó biến đổi các tương quan nhân loại một cách thẳm sâu, và mở ra để gặp gỡ Thiên Chúa cùng anh chị em mình.

Ách Ta êm ái, và gánh Ta nhẹ nhàng
Bài Tin Mừng hôm nay dạy cho chúng ta biết Chúa Giêsu tạ ơn Chúa Cha, nguồn sự sống và sự khôn ngoan, vì Người đã chọn mặc khải sự thật này cho những người khiêm nhường, trong khi Người lại giấu không cho bậc khôn ngoan và thông thái biết. Sự mặc khải thiêng liêng không gì khác hơn là thông điệp về mục đích thực sự trong đời sống của chúng ta. Thông điệp Kitô giáo là thông điệp về cách yêu thương, cách phục vụ, cách tha thứ. Đó là thông điệp mà Chúa Giêsu đã truyền cho các môn đệ của mình để h ọ ra đi loan báo. Và cùng với nó, một nhóm nhỏ các môn đệ kitô giáo đã làm rung chuyển Đế chế La Mã. Họ mang đến một niềm hy vọng mới, không phải để lên án ai, nhưng để khẳng định lại phẩm giá của con người. Hầu hết các môn đệ đã tử vì đạo, bị ném cho dã thú ăn, hoặc bị thiêu sống, nhưng mặc dù tất cả những đau khổ, họ luôn giữ lòng cậy trông quá sức tưởng tượng của con người. Họ sẽ tiếp tục là dấu chứng cho thấy ách của Chúa Giêsu nhẹ nhàng, và có ý nghĩa khi được chất đầy tình yêu; một dấu hiệu cho thấy kiến thức của con người sẽ luôn bị vượt qua bởi sự khôn ngoan của Thiên Chúa là Đấng sẽ có tiếng nói cuối cùng.
Đây là Tin Mừng ngày hôm nay, Tin Mừng cho tất cả những ai sa ngã và tuyệt vọng: “ Ách Ta
êm ái, và gánh Ta nhẹ nhàng”. Hôm nay chúng ta hãy xin Thiên Chúa giúp chúng ta thâm tín rằng chúng ta không phải là người điều khiển cuộc sống mình. Chúng ta hãy cầu xin sự trợ giúp của Ngài để ý thức rằng Ngài là Đấng Tạo Thành Trời Đất, chứ không phải là người phụ lái của chúng ta.

All the groups using facility must submit the reservation request form to the office, a responsible person must have a fingerprint, a safe environment certificate and a waiver. Please note: no cooking, no burners and no stoves allowed to use in the class room.
